(CNN) -- Fresh on the heels of one budget airline announcing that it will ask passengers to pay extra to bring carry-on bags on board, another is considering charging them for using the lavatory.

Ryanair, which is based in Dublin, Ireland, and bills itself as "Europe's first and largest low fares airline," is mulling a plan that would require travelers to pay either 1 euro or 1 British pound (about $1.33 or $1.52) for using the bathroom on flights lasting one hour or less.

The plan, titled "Ryanair Cost Saving Proposal," was published in the airline's inflight magazine

People want the lowest fare possible; I'm surprised there isn't a Wal*Air yet. Until they start voting by purchasing tickets from regular carriers instead of econo-boxes, low-fare operators will keep finding ways to "maintain low fares".

Never had to piss on an hour or less flight. I go in the airport for free before I get on the plane.

Longer flights, yup, there's gonna be pee in a cup (since where you gonna get a bottle from?)

Ya but it says charge for an hour flight or less...not longer.

If you cant hold your shit for that long then you got issues.

I've had to piss on shorter flights when they're connecting flights and I've had to run my ass off through the airport to get to said connecting flight because of our f**ked up ATC system.

This is pretty ridiculas but yes on a flight of an hour or less you should be able to wait until you've landed in most cases...but it's still BS to charge you.

The charge of $30 -$45 for putting a carry on bag in an overhead compartment is ridiculas as well.

I've had to take a leak on shorter flights. An "hour long" flight, once boarding, taxiing to the runway, waiting for clearance to take off, etc. means you can easily be trapped on the plane for over an hour and a half. Normally that is fine too, but if I've had a ton of coffee for an early flight or am traveling for vacation and have decided to get drunk I'd have to pay.

True "an hour flight" doesn't really mean an hour in real time between breaks.
