It just recently went up about $50/month, because we had some promo we were on for a year; so it went up, and now they give us a $10/month "bundle" credit. Yippee.

You already have a bandwidth cap with comcast, they just don't tell you. I hit it in under a week into the month, my first month with comcast. I called them up to ask why my internet wasn't working after a day and a half of it being down and they said I downloaded too much. They don't advertise it, but they already restrict heavy downloading.

There aren't easy alternatives. Cable companies monopolize areas/neighborhoods around here, and in most cities from what I understand.

Hell I've lived in buildings where RCN owned all of the cables so you either got that, or you were fucked.

My cable/internet is included with HOA fees my landlord plays... I will never pay for cable again. When I had 4 channels there was just as much on as now that I have 70. Internet on the other hand... I will always have the internet.

My folks switched to DirectTV a few years back... they love it. Cable TV is bullshit.

I have comcast and I'm at $52.00 a month. That's with cable modem, and basic cable.
Last week I just bought a 42" Samsung Plasma and hung that bitch on the wall.... I let the Plasma run through and program the stations... holy shit... I'm getting all the Digital channels for free!
