Looking like one of them years. I dont get them too bad mostly, but the othe rmorning it was prety rough riding to work.

But man my Er has blown da fuk up with people with allergies. We have a lot of asthmatics in this community so theyre all comming out of the woodwork then the rest who think itchy eyes and a stuffy nose is an emergency (beats the 400 pound smelly cooter though)

been writing for albuterol, patanol, and the allergy med of their choice tonight. Its gonna be a busy few weeks till all this passes.

Zyrtec FTMFW!!

I take one every day, all year round. Wife gets the Dollar General generic brand that has the same active ingredients and it's been doing the trick. I can tell if I forget to take it.

Allergies SUCK!

How long have you been taking zyrtec? I've been to different docs and they say you need to very what you take so your body doesn't become immune to it. I took allegra for a long time when I was going through school. Now it doesn't do anything for me. Allegra_d still works some if I can ever get my hands on any. I like taking anything with a D (decongestion).

We have a bottle of Allertec picked up at BJ's.
A gazillion little tablets of wonder.

Everything here has a thick yellow coating of pollen.

Yea that pollen has completely covered everything. just the other day the pollen count was 5000. I was like WTF. thats when i started having my allergies act up. Been on Claritin, Benadryl and many other things trying to keep it under control. Its driving me crazy i have really bad chest congestion and have been coughing for days cause it wont clear up. Of course i refuse to stop riding and that doesnt help but i sometimes wear a bandanna around my face while riding it helps some.

Yeah yeah... gloat away...
Body chemistry changes as we age.
Some people grow out of their allergies, and some don't develop them until they're older.

I'm lucky, I dont get early spring allergies. Tree pollen and mold dont bother me at all. Its the late summer ragweed that blows me the hell up...

For the allergy/asthma folks, my pulmo writes Singular AND Zyrtec together, along with inhaler. S and Z have different mechanisms, so you can take them together. Plus, the Singular helps w/the asthma component.

Also, sinus washes/neti pots are good. Had sinus surgery last year, and it's make all the difference in the world!

About 9 months now. Still works well.

My allergies got worse as I got older. I'm 33 and they get worse every year. Without the Zyrtec, I'm a mess. BTW, Zyrtec is the only thing that has worked for me. Everything else OTC I've tried, and there has been a lot, has failed.

Screw taking all those pills . . . I went and had my sinuses completely roto-routered and get shots every two weeks.

Okay, so maybe 3 surgeries and hundreds of shots might be a little worse than taking a pill every day, but I don't have any more allergy problems

I found the Neti pot and a box of non-iodized salt is a much cheaper and very effective solution.
I used to get sinus infections 1 to 2 times a year. Since I started flushing my sinuses, I've only had one sinus infection in the last 7ish years.

I decided I was allergic to Kosovo, finally got out of there.
I still sneeze a bit, so there might be a slight allergy to IN as well...
Maybe I'm just allergic to the uniform?

How often do you irrigate your sinuses with the neti pot? I caught the cold my son had this weekend and my sinuses are killing me. Since we moved up here I seem to be experiencing more sinus problems, so I'm interested in fiding ways to prevent them all together. Thanks.

My sinus are fucked up right now.

My teeth and cheek bones are killing me, not to mention the clogged ear on that side. Mucus is still clear though, so I don't think there's an infection....yet. Waiting on Walgreen's to fill my Nasonex Rx. Slow mother fuckers.

They say if you get a hookworm or was it a tapeworm, you won't have any allergies!

I was going to post yesterday how I was doing so well! I hadn't even taken any meds in the last few weeks.

Someone somewhere must have heard the little voice inside my head.

Today sucks donkey balls...

Double up on your allergy pills. I take a flonase shot to the nose in the morning and a zyrtk at night before I go to bed. Works great!

I'm on zyrtec and singular, pantonase when it flare-up bad and a neti pot. I start on personalized allergy shots when they come in in a couple of weeks. It's definitely fall allergy season now... Whoops this is z

I am finally getting back to normal. I been on antibiotics since last week. My sinus is finally returning to normal, I may actually leave the house for something other than work this weekend...

So fucking glad I went to an allergist earlier this year. Getting shots twice a week and taking 3 different prescriptions is a shit ton better than sneezing all fucking day and never being able to breath.

I'm hoping to find an alternative to anti-biotics that works for me; I've had many scripts written for them over the years. :/

Just got home a while ago from the Dr. office. Holy fuck. I have a sinus infection, both of my ears are infected and it seems my chest has an infection. The ear pressure and wheezing/coughing suck. They said lots of people have been coming in lately with severe infections; appears some virus is going around. :td:

Just got back from another visit to the Dr. since my chest is worse - I have developed pneumonia....and my two ears are still infected.

Just put a fucking bullet in me like a lame horse. :skep:
