I did the baltimore aquarium 2 years ago, was one of the better aquarium dives I've done, only behind disney and Atlanta.

No not really, they will walk you through the whole thing, watch what you touch, maintain bouyancy, and have fun.

Its expensive, I paid $250 for the baltimore aquarium. Disney was $150 for 1 dive, atlanta was $300, camden $350, MY $250 and Sandiego was $300.

I can dive on my own for $30 including gas to the beach, and I'll come back with some fresh lobster or crab.

Damn, that is expensive. But, I live in Indiana, so i'd have to dive aquariums, or pay to fly to the ocean. Which is why I don't dive. I'd definitely get into it if I lived closer to some good water.

heh my brother worked at the baltimore aq. for a years, never got to dive it though. my good buddy's sister works at divequest in epcot, so i got to do that once (for free). another buddy volunteers at atlanta, i would LOVE to dive with the whale sharks! but i dont think he gets any special access.

Kinda. :) It is pretty cool when a 200lb turtle sits on your head. This is just after I lifted him off me.

Fair enough, but don't ever criticize me for sitting in a stand and using corn to bait deer. redflip

$250-300, WTF? For that kind of coin you could take the full scuba certification course.

You have to have your C card before you can go in the aquarium homey.

You need the scuba course before you can go diving in the aquarium, if you dont have your cert and a certain number of dives then you cant dive aquariums. the point of the aquarium is you get to see and interact with more stuff than you would in the wild, unless you flew to the caribean.

and here is a video of why diving is cool

$200 or $300 is a lot cheaper than flying half way across the world to dive with whale sharks or other exotic tropical marine life.

It ain't cheap keeping these aquariums up and running, so I don't see the cost is an issue at all.
