I already have a honey-do list and we haven't even closed on it yet.

Will try to get pics soon, I am going to have to photoshop my front door. It's the ugliest shade of red ever and totally doesnt go with the house. It's getting repainted immediately.

Congrats!! I am excited for you both!!

Keep in mind, having a red door is a form of Feng Shu and is considered to bring great good luck to the homeowners and all who pass within, but a tasteful red is always nice!!

it's actually a total way of doing things, arranging things, the color schemes, all kinds of nifty stuff...im not too much into it, but my mom is a nut about it and every home we lived in since I was a kid has always had a red front door...

(pronounced "fung shway") ancient Asian art of creating harmony and balance within an environment.
Example: According to the tenets of feng shui, certain colors and elements should be in each "life area" for a home to be in harmony and balance.

The Chinese art or practice of positioning objects, especially graves, buildings, and furniture, based on a belief in patterns of yin and yang and the flow of chi that have positive and negative effects.

Congrats. We bought our house 30 years ago. I was scared shitless at the time buying a house that was five times my annual salary. It was an old home in an older neighborhood, but it was well-built by carpenters and masons. Now it's the hottest neighborhood to live in. My Craftsman Bungalow turned 100 in 2006. By the way, a house takes even more maintenance than a bike.

Yeah it's an interesting color scheme, we plan on doing a little painting. The vinyl is going to stay green though.

The garage big enough for 2 cars and bikes?
That driveway looks like it'll be a bitch to plow in the winter.

What's your first mod gonna be? cf roof for light-weight? HID porch lights?

We don't plow in TN. It's really a 2 car garage, but I will be able to angle my bikes in there with 2 cars.

I will get some inside pics after we close and we get access to the house.

Nice house Trip. It will look much better with the red door gone and some landscaping in. It would also look pimp if you wired in lights pointing straight down in the peaks of the roof.

Hijacking trips thread...Put in for Utah as well. Nice mountain roads near Hill AFB, plus there is a farily new (and sweet) track west of Salt Lake City, not to mention you can go out to speed week at the salt flats (or ANYTIME if you just want to run your bike). Weather is nice many months of the year and there are plenty of winter activities to help pass the time. You also have the benefit of being near Wendover, NV if you want to gamble.

If you end up in Texas, you can go to zoomies track, depending on where you get stationed in Texas.

If you end up in the People's Republic of Kalifornia, you'll have great riding weather most of the year, depending if you're in north or south

Mr Lefty
05-16-2008, 08:38 PM
well don't think there were any listings for hill for MTL duty... California would be fuck'n expensive but good riding roads are near and my bro could live with me... Sheppard wouldn't be bad... and I'd ride zoomies track as often as I could afford to! I think I may end up in Shepard in Wichitall falls or Keesler in Biloxi Mississippi... as those are the two biggest... :idk:

I think by the time we get in the house, it will be too late to do anything with the yard this year because the grass seed won't make it. So I will just rake out the rocks and put some hay down to stop the mud from going in the street.

The subdivision is pretty new. The house next to mine is actually in the same situation as mine. The builder got fucked and lost everything to foreclosure thanks to some woman who lived in my house and the current market. So hopefully another builder got it out of foreclosure and finishes it.

The house looks nice...and it's always I wish the house had this and that. You will have many projects to build what you want in/on the house. It all comes with time and a shit load of money.
It's your first home, and you will rush into projects like I did....but I don't regret it, because I'm happy.

Oh btw...the red door has got to go!
