Correct me if I'm mistaken, but aren't we just starting to recover from a bad recession? You'd think the local dealers would be more interested in making a sale. The dealer closest to my house won't give me a straight answer on an OTD price on the Speed Triple on their floor. Another that I contacted won't budge on the MSRP. I've tried reaching out to two more in the area (both are a bit of a drive so I haven't visited them in person yet) and have gotten no response.

I've never experienced such a difficult time trying to find a dealer (auto, bike, whatever) that is willing to negotiate, or even show genuine interest in making a sale.

Those dealers will find themselves out of business before too long. It happened here.

I'm heading to the Gap in June.

Make a deal with curb and I'll drop the bike off for you on my way up. ;)

Dealers around here never budge from MSRP + fees. If you buy locally, you're lucky if you get it OTD for MSRP (without them tacking on their fees). Even prices on left over inventory are ridiculous.

Doubt they're able to pull that shit on ZX6R's and 1000rr's, as you can get either of those for only $7500-8500 from tons of different dealers.

Little Taz and I will be at the Gap hanging with some old friends the week of the 7th. Come to the top of the hill and say hey if you're around that week.

I'm heading up with the SoFla crew. The trip is from the 19th to the 27th. I'm driving separate and heading to Barber on the 25th. :rockout:

yeah, there was a local one (big one) that was notorious for that.

They folded last year.
