I decided to replace my right front turn signal on my 2003 650 Silverado since the turn signal got damaged. The signal worked properly before I put the new signal on. Now the left side flashers work just fine but when I turn the right flashers on, the rear flashes fast and the front just says on(not flashing). I changed out bulbs but that didn't help. Could the flasher relay be bad? Seems odd that it worked fine right before I replaced the flasher though.

I did blow a fuse when I first hooked it up because I switched a couple of the wires because the color coding of the new flasher was different from the OEM flasher. I fixed the wiring and replaced the fuse. I shouldn't have damaged the flasher relay since the fuse blew right?

When you mixed up the wiring you may have blown the relay before the fuse could take the hit.

Yeah there was a black wire and a black wire with a white stripe that I mixed up. The hot lead(red wire) was always on the correct wire. OEM colors were blue, dark green, and black with white stripe.

My brother-in-law has an '03 Silverado and he did the same thing and it ended up being the relay. :)

Go to pep boys or wherever. It will most likely be a standard relay, with standard connections and a 'save our business' markup at a GM dealer.
