many of you dont care.
some of you probably remember my post about my dash....well april 10th me and mom got brand new mytouches...the first new phone since a samsung t219.

i got the new mytouch 1.2 in black and mom got the LE fender... Android/linux FTW does anyone else have a droid?

Installed the android SDK so i could screen capture.

But yeh I got a mytouch too. battery life was dismal, then I downloaded juice defender (limits auto updates searches) and appkiller (shuts off hard to shut off applications)

Ive had it for a month and the only thing i dont like is the keyboard lags pretty bad on som sites...like right now using smart keyboard.
And the camera drivers...
But other then that there is nothing i miss about winmo.
And i am patianly awaiting 2.1/espresso OTA.
dad should have gotten his 2.1 OTA today if verizon kept their word.lol

At&t has a 5 year contrat with apple inc. For exclusive rigt to the iphone. So probably not.. unless that contract from 2007 is void...
Since there is alot of talk about a cdma iphone

But everying the iphone does, the droids do.

It has a huge, high-res screen but I don't think the whole phone is any larger than an iPhone.

The phone specs itself are cool, should be a real powerhouse, but what I have seen of the phone is that it still looks a little over complicated like the older winmo phones, but def a step in the right direction.

Yea it's called the internet! Seriously, there have always been "apps" for WinMo phones to be found.:idk: Of course, not in the numbers or types being put out for Android and iPhone users.

My last phone was winmo 6.5, wasnt a great smart phone, but it made calls and texts better than any other phone Ive had before it.

But other than making calls and texts and being able to look at microsoft office files the phone was basically a brick, I think I had it for 9 months before I replaced it

There is more than one "Droid" now though. Verizon licensed the word "droid" for their android phones. The incredible is acutally the "droid incredible." So it can be a line of phones, specifically the Verizon Droids.

So, just rooted my mytouch running the "stock" fender rom.

And got cpuset...what the hell stock clock is 384 on a 528mhz cpu.

Once a good 2.1 rom/port is out ill flash it

Probably underclocks itself when not much use and to save battery life.

245 min factory.

I have mine set to:
528max 128min
On demand.

And ive noticed less typing lag as well as a 1.2MFLOP increase

i just did some poking around out of curiosity and holy crap. peeps have oc'ed the droid to 1.3 :eek: i wonder what the lifespan is on one of those :lol:

Which is the 528mhz qualcomm that most phones have atm.

Wonder what the max oc on a snapdragon is.
Lol ive seen on linpack a nexus with froyo stock oc at 40mflop i bet a 1.5ghz on froyo would be pretty damn fast.
