Right, none of the respectable news organizations would dignify this incident with any coverage....

lol...what does this story have to do with Fox News???
I saw the video, but I don't understand. I saw no reference to Fox.
This story appears to be getting coverage all over.

I would say that, having seen some the kids running around the schools nowadays, I would like to commend that teacher. The little creep prolly had it coming and teachers need to stand up and unite to get corporal punishment back in schools. BEAT THEIR ASSES when the back talk and take the attitude that they have with teachers of today.

I can't see this video..blocked at work but if it's the one I saw on tv yesterday they said something about the kid mocking/making fun of a special ed student or something and when she told him to stop he didn't stop immediately and then she went off on him.
I'm not saying that's the facts but that is what I heard someone say when I was channel surfing.

I believe Foxnews broke the story and in the text next to the video in the first link the school's principal says he was able to reviewed the video on Foxnews.

The media is reporting that the boy was teasing a female student somehow but I haven't seen any details.

If thats the case, while I applaud her not turning a blind eye on that, as so many do these days, obviously beating a student like that is a little out of the ordinary.

As a teacher when I saw that I was appauled. There have been more than one time I wish I could lay hands on a student, like when one ran around my room 3 weeks after my husband was killed throwing things everywhere, threatening to poke kids eyes out with a chair leg and chanting "Mrs. C's husbands dead", over and over, but I have resisted.
We have to remember that we are the professionals, the adults and we can not sink to that level, no matter what the student has done to "deserve" it.
And oh boy have I ever been tempted....

The media is now reporting the teacher had an arrest warrant issued against her over a year ago for slashing someone's tires. It could be this teacher has some anger management issues. She probably would have stabbed the kid you had to deal with in the face with a protractor.

i hope you reported that behavior to his parents, (and quietly told them you would not remember the number to social services if he came to school badly bruised)

Actually the sad thing is that he was being abused at home. We did report the family to social services because he was always coming bruised, was scared to be touched etc. They investigated and turns out the poor kid was being beaten by his teenaged brother, at the request of mom because she knew if she did it she would go BACK to prison...
