anyone else have a board that they get one when all others are slow and you know its going to be busy no matter what time of day?

i just joined a huge board and damn it makes me appreciate how damn civil we are on here, they are fun to read for pure entertainment factor, but dman you post and there are a million ppl posting use the search button or anytime you show an opinion its immedietly a OT thread and how ur opinion is retarded... good for a laugh, but thats about it

I stay away from the big boards.. I'm too lazy to keep up with 10 posts in 50 different topics every 5 mins.

Haven't been there in a few years. Didn't they sell out and now have ads posted everywhere or some crap? I went to a few of the Cruise-In's in Bowling Green around Memorial Day several years ago. But after my daughter was born May 25, that pretty much killed that weekend for me going away by myself. That's alright, my little girl is worth it.

I probably met you then. Yea they sold out to IB but it's still pretty funny in OT. That is where I get most of the stuff I post here.

Me too. I hate big big boards. They drive me nuts. When no matter what time of the day you're on, there are more peple online currently than active here. Yea... NO TNX

Though I don't participate much there anymore, I get on Rimfirecentral occasionally.
They keep a lid on the drama and trash talk, but still some pretty entertaining stuff and good info when I'm in need of advice or ideas for my .22 rifles or shooting in general.

I'm on a few gixxer forums. .. 8 out of 10 posts are newbies asking stupid questions and the other two are squids bragging about wheelies and how fast they are...

I only frequent 3 or 4 boards regularly and none of them are very big.

I prefer boards that have a lot of traffic...more to do.

But moreso I prefer local boards where people actually meet and do things. I don't post to stir crap or be a dick, I post to make friends. Kinda hard when they're all 1700 miles away. Unfortunately I got booted from our local forum

sv is definitely a clique board. I never liked how they went to pay to use off topic. The owner is also a dirty bastard. Worse than any owner who sold out to VS.

The board got together and bought the guy vbulletin updates and paid to keep it going and he fucked em over good. He wasn't in a bad situation like CF owners or just no longer interested in motorcycles like Shan. He was just a dick.

I lurk at ADVRiders.com....I enjoy reading the ride reports and looking at the pictures of people riding in places that I'll likely never see.

"Clique" was the word i was looking for. Yeah, TWF and GNDC are the only places that I have friends, and GNDC is slowing down to a crawl.

Nope, it's about everything pro related, which is more interesting than any other section on there.(unless maybe powerlifting)

Ironically my "big board" is a local one. If you walk away from an active thread, for a day, you'll never catch up again. Unfortunately I let myself get roped into being a mod, so I HAVE to try and keep up :skep:
