Removed the tumor that had taken up residence in my right ear canal and bone surrounding it. Nothing left inside of the ear, skin graft to make a "New" eardrum and the inner ear damage is extensive, but the doctor says I should be Ok in time. I have a lot of damage to the systems that control equillibrium and its possible that I willl never ride again. When I asked him if the tumor was "big" he said it was like asking the "Octomom" if she was a little pregnant...

Glad you got that out of your head. Even more glad to hear that it can be possibly put somewhat back in order with a graft. Hoping that you can recover the balance you need to ride again, bro.

Wow, so close to the brain, glad it didn't spread any further. I take it that hearing or balance difficulties was what caused you to get checked out?

Thanks everybody. I was having headaches and finally was dizzy alot. I actually had a tumor in the same place when I was young and they think this was some of the first tumor that was left or a piece of infected tissue that was missed. Because of the extensive damage the first tumor did, I had no feeling and very little hearing in my right ear, so I had no idea that there was a problem until it was almost too late. They figure this tumor had been growing for 28 years.

Glad to hear that they got it all. That's the most important thing.

If it's going to be an issue riding, consider a Can-Am Spyder. For something with two front wheels, it feels remarkably bike-like.

Holy cow! Glad you came thru! Dont sweat the recovery. The body is naturally great at compensating, just give it time and keep trying. Slowly and gradually of course!

Damn man. Glad to hear they got it out of ya. I'm sure you'll be riding around again in no time. There's always 3 wheels as a back-up though like papa said.

I tried to find a better pic, but I got lazy.

Glad you're on the road to recovery.

In your case a trike may be in order so that you could ride again. I think that would work. Could do a normal trike or a can am. WTS! It's better than not riding!!! And totally understandable when you have that type of crap to deal with.

What I don't get is how can something grow inside there. I mean its already full of stuff. Where does the stuff go that it's taking up in their place? Or is it just eating that stuff and replacing the space with its funk?

Cancer = mutated cells, so it's just taking good cells and mutating them into bad cells. My uncle who passed away recently had cancer that started in his hip.

The biopsy is not back, but the bones and cartillage and what not that was in there was pretty much disolved and turned into this mass that grew. Now I have to see about selling the TL and the Can Am Spyder is looking like it may be the next toy in the stable. Thanks again for the well wishes. As for pics, I will see if they have any when I go back next week.

Awesome for the can am idea. You could do it up right and be pretty cool. I'm thinking... turbo!!! LOL

Yeah that body crap is just weird.

Wow! Well you better find time to do my tail lights!!! Seriously, get better and don't sweat the negative... I've been told twice that I'd never ride again because of injuries...

I might have the video. Not sure yet, but I heard from a guy who knows a guy who dates a chick...
