Looking for an LED light kinda like the Inova X5.........Something thin and smooth like that.........What's the best? I figure since the Inova is only $35 and sold at Orchard Supply it must not be one of the best.

All that I've seen, so far, are LED conversion kits.

I have 3 Surefire G2's that are small and do a great job BUT the battery life isn't anything to brag about.

CasterTroy I think had some TLR-1's that he liked a lot...even better than the Surefire.

Just be careful you don't accidentally the whole thing.

Surefire E2D LED Defender is about the best bang for your buck in a high end flashlight. I take mine everywhere. (200 lumens for about 135.00)

My next light is going to be a Olight M21 (http://www.batteryjunction.com/olight-m21-luminus.html).

Just check your link from techfresh. I am really impressed at the Sunforce 40 Million Candlepower HID Spotlight. I won't mind spare my 180 bucks to get one. What i am using is 3D maglite. the battery life is great but the beam is shitty.

IDK... honestly...

I did watch a documentary on tv about them. The owner went to biz in a very simple way. He first bought the very best cnc machines he could. then he imported the best cnc operator he could find from somewhere in europe.

Then proceeded to make the best flash light he could. The tests they do are awesome. They put them thru extreme heat/cold and button pushes, etc...

Surefire has a new LED similar to the G2 (may even be a variation) that gets 12hrs continuous use versus the 40 minute use of the regular bulbs. It may be a little pricey for a pocketsize flashlight but IMO well worth it. Our squadron just swapped over from the G2's and Aviators to the new LED so if youre interested I can get the specifics on it...

I'm a big fan of the Surefire's and think for the price you can't go wrong:

I prefer the metal case to the plastic case but for the cost of $39 with 10 batteries free it's a win-win situation.

If you want the LED version it's a little pricier:
