I need to know what I can take together. Here are some pills I have on my right now.
Generic Benadryl -- 25mg Diphenhydramine Hydrocloride
Generic Zyrtec (1 a day) -- 10mg Cetirizine Hydrochloride
Alavert D (12 hour) -- Loratadine 5mg (antihistamine)/ Pseudoephedrine Sulfate 120mg (nasal decongestant) Just got this today.
Zyrtec really doesnt do shit for me, but I'm using up this bottle. I take one in the morning (or when I remember to), then take a benedryl before I got to bed. Not really doing anything for me. Can I go ahead and take an Alavert right now or wait till this morning to complete the 24 hour zyrtec. I do know that anything with decongestant works better for me.
I've never mixed allergy medicine, but I have taken too much before and I don't want to experience that again.
Is there a super strong generic allergy medicine out there that I don't know of? I know there are the major brands as Zyrtec, Clariton, and Allegra. Then their generic versions. Is there anything out there that not many know about? What has taken over these brands that are now Doc only subscribed?

You can take the Benadryl with either the Zyrtec or Alavert D. If you take the Alavert at bedtime, you won't get much sleep because of the decongestant.
The other alternative is prescription stuff like Singular, which you can also take with Zyrtec.

You can take it all at once. Question is should you!?
Most pharmacies can help you decide how to mix but there are so many multi symptom formulas out there it would be worth experimenting and finding ONE tha works for you...

I thought there was another version of Zyrtec you had to get from the pharmacy.

anything with pseudophedrine has to be gotten at the pharmacy counter because of dumbasses making meth with the stuff.

They don't work on me. I can use them and I'll be find for 2 minutes, then I'm back sneezing my head off and all my other symptoms. I was prescribed some when I was a kid and they didnt do anything.

NOTHING works for me. It's pure hell. I can usually sleep at night with benadryl, but that doesn't do shit for me as I can't take it during the day. I have an appointment with an allergist Tuesday morning. Sure hope they find something that works before I ride down to Georgia for the rally. Sneezing while riding sucks!!

I've tried them all through my life. I was just stating that I've used them for a good period of time.

I just found out last thursday that they make Benadryl-D. Might have to try some of that. The Alavert-D seems to be doing a decent job so far. With me, it just takes weeks before the meds are in my system. Nothing is instant for me. Benadryl used to knock my ass out with just one pill. I think it makes me stay up now. LOL
