Is finally over. Actualy worked my er shift last night with an IV in my arm from gastroenteritis. But thats only part of the fun. My plan was to ride down to njmp and hang with some friends for the day.
I figured I would take the buell out since the aprilia is still being worked on. So I leave LI and ake it to exit 8a on the NJ tpke ( about 70 miles) and my checkengine light comes on, soon folloed by the battery light. About now is when I realize the 09's need the have the wiring harness recall done. I turn around and hammer it to head home knowing my battery doesnt have long to live. I make it back one exit and the bike dies on the onramp almost highsiding me off of it. I coast off to the shoulder and figure now what.
Electrical system is prety much dead so I try running it down the onramp to bump start it and no luck. So I roll it ahead to a shady spot and make some phone calls. After abut an hr we decide my freind chris will come and get me with his trailer. Now durring this time I pushed the bike almost 2 miles to an overpass to get out of the sun. This is when my food poisoning/dehydration kick in. I am in the middle of nowhere and cant realy get anywhere to buy some fluids. So I wind up waiting another hr or 2 for the calvary to arrive.
we trailer the bike back to my freinds garage in astoria, then we ride to chris's house where karen picks me up. Now its 5:30 and i have to be in the ER at 9 so I take a short nap get up and shower then puke a fewtimes and off to work. Had to pull over twice to mark my territory once in the ghetto so I was just happy I didnt get shot for puking on someones sidewalk :lol:
I make it to work and I have my nurse put an iv in and get acouple of bags of fluid. It def helped plus i had good staff last night which was a tremendous help. So I made i thome a little while ago and am off to bed for a few hrs then its off to my nieces b-dayparty.
