I've had several people ask me when I was going to color in those last 3 states in the map in my sig. Well, the answer is, this past weekend.

I give you the final 3 pictures, a shot of the odometer as it sits now in my garage, since I rolled 60k on the trip.

I've now been to 49 states on my Hayabusa and ridden in Hawaii via my best friend's Ducati 748 and Honda 919.

Obviously, the 50 state milestone is pretty important to me. So is the 60k. I had another one this weekend. I have gone 7 years of ownership of this bike with no tickets. This weekend, I got 2. :wtfru: $360 worth. Ouch. Time to slow my butt down! haha! I'm working on a video of all 50 pictures. I might throw in the 6 Canadian provinces I have so far for honorable mention as well.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate it! Getting all 50 was a quest I set out on almost 7 years ago. It took a bit longer than I thought, but I'm pretty proud of the accomplishment. :)

As for what's next? Well, you all know I like to take picture of my bike with signs on my trip, so I give you the next one I'll photograph.

I probably won't be taking the Hayabusa on this one, as it has been..er..very strongly suggested...LOL..that the Busa might not be such a good idea. A good idea really, as I'm hardheaded enough to try. I'm on the search for a KLR for this next one.

I give you....drum roll please....Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. :D

I don't think I'd want to ride a KLR all the way to Prudhoe Bay though. At least get a V-Strom or something with some comfort I'm thinking...?

My thoughts as well. Or spring for a GS

Now that's a record worth setting. If you still have to hit Manitoba and Saskatchewan, do yourself a favour; don't do them during mosquito season

Yea most of that ride will be paved roads until the last. A KLR would kinda suck...IMHO. of course.

I'm used to 160 horsepower out on the road. Anything short of that will suck. :lol

I'd really like a GS. However, I like the KLR for its simplicity. I can fix anything on the road with the right tools. That ride will be tough, things WILL break, and the fewer electronic sensor and gee-whiz gadgets to go bad, the better. It's a toss up really.

Awesome! My cousin is riding from Pensacola FL to Prudhoe Bay AK next year. He asked me to go with him but I don't think I will. My bike can only go 130 miles or so on a tank of gas, maybe 150 if I use up all the reserve.

true...you are also used to good ride quality, wind protection, decent seat, etc... if you can do it, more power to you. I once rode my DRZ 100 miles and thought I would DIE!!!

This is one of those things I look forward to when the kids are grown and outta the house. My wife used to ride and still wants to, but has no desire for racing. I look forward to being able to take off a few weeks and just go ride all over the country.

I was thinking more of the seat and wind protection...a six inch wide KLR
seat would probably have you crying before you got through Canada ;)

Have you talked to my dad about his KLR? He's got that Harley now, so he'd probably be okay with letting that one go.
