:lol That's totally bogus. Even their demo at the beginning doesn't match how they claim the "motor" works.
My guess is they've got something just out of the frame driving the rear wheel. That'll spin the pedals if the freehub's got enough friction. If the motor was driving the pedals, why did they have to start them spinning by hand?
And Cancellara's probably using electric shifters. Shimano's had them out for a few years, and I hear SRAM has it in the works, too.
I would totally get one of those to help with hillclimbs on my mountain bike.

As they said in the assembly part under 30 RPMs and the motor shuts off so they had to start it by hand to get it about 30 to kick the motor on. I think the video of the races were pretty convincing. I dunno about him pushing buttons or anything but in the second one he is just sitting on his seat and starts flying up a hill and you see the guy behind him who is probably in comparable shape having to stand and pedal or whatever you want to call it, and still can't keep up.
It also stated at the beginning that video was taken from multiple sources which means that the demo they gave at the beginning and the system they showed could actually be two different ones with subtle differences.

Yeah, the video gives it up, once you know what you're looking for...it's rather obvious.
Funny shit. I'll never understand why people cheat at races..what's the allure? You still didn't really win...and you're an even bigger loser, because you not only didn't win, you reduced yourself to fucking cheating, and you've made worthless the entire game for everyone.
I suppose the problem with racing in some circles anymore is the fact that EVERYONE is cheating "a little", in some petty fucking way...and who's to say who the bigger fake is?
Sad.
In that case, I'd say: "all you's bitches", and I'd suggest that instead the whole lot of you stay home, and take up knitting.
Fucking pansies.
