I just took my finals for my Anatomy and Physiology II and Medical Terminology classes. I've never seen so many fucked up insane long words in my life. The abbreviations get weirder. q.i.d. = 4 times a day

I actually found that for the Q ones just put "Every" in front of every one except four times a day
qd - every day
qh - every hour
qod - every other day
qPM - every evening.

id usually means "a day"
tid - 3x a day
bid twice a day.

PID would be I think Pelvic Inflammatory Disease

npo means nothing by mouth but if they put NBO (nothing by oral) or even nbm (nothing by mouth) I don't believe there is anything abbreviated for that.

Damn doctors and their fancy words and spellins.
