I would have to say a couple different methods
if you just spot cleaning the grab the ole saddle soap and hit the spots then use a little mink oil and wipe clean
if you need to clean the whole damn thing I take it to a repudable leather cleaner and they can do eet
cause I am just lazy

If it's just spots......use a spray leather cleaner. But if it's been 2-3 years and it's all ripe & stinky, soak it in a bathtub overnight with Woolite & water. Then refill the tub with rinse water and soak again a couple times. Afterwards take it out and lay it FLAT on some towels. Apply leather conditioner BEFORE it starts drying out.

Um....what do you mean "clean"?
Thats what rain is for.
(mental note...maybe time to wash that leather jacket that you've riding in all kinds of weather up to 100+ temps. After 8 years I guess the its time.)

I removed Duct tape glue from leather with cooking oil...somebody was too skinny for the adjustment straps on his jacket and had to duct tape them back. Well, he gained weight and now the straps work, so we had to remove the tape. :D
I use diluted pledge, and febreeze the hell out of the insides. Done the woolite and water before, but I dont leave it overnight, just drop it in the tub, swoosh around, drain the tub, fill with clean water rinse, conditioner and towel dry, then conditioner again.

I use leather cleaner, pretty much whatever my boot repair guy has in his shop. Never worry about the smell though, I think it gives it character. Apparently character is something that makes women run away.

Speaking of that smell....I think it's time for me to wash my Summer mesh jacket. I have to listen to "You stink" from my wife every time I get home from a ride now.
