I used to do GP threads here, let's see if the greatest GP race gets some replies :D

Considered the greatest circuit in the world, it is time for Assen!! http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/2285/assenlogo.jpg

--Rossi out, Yoshikawa in
--Lorenzo looks unbeatable
--Pedrosa looks unbeatable when he gets out in front
--Hayden is beatable (ask Dovi and Ben)
--Spies is looking really good
--Dovizioso is due for a win
--Stoner is still a threat

Your thoughts?

THE RACE IS ON SATURDAY, NOT SUNDAY!!!

Speed's schedule has it on at 9:30...They did that last week, and the race was actually on at 8:00...So, take that however...I'll be checking Speeds schedule every day to make sure they don't change it...

Random thoughts:

Yoshikawa, not going to help Yamaha in the manufacturers points, will assure everyone happy to see Rossi back without sugggesting a Spies or Bayliss, or 'insert talented Moto2 racer here' can fill the seat and succeed with Burgess tuning him up.

Spies will prove to be the US's great hope, while Hayden will prove most consistent 4th place finisher in the history of GP.

jorge walks with a title and secures his spot with the Yamaha factory leaving Spies open to Ducati wooing during the winger.

Depuniet bumps one HRC twerp for a factory ride at last. Pedro will likely blow his tutor Puigs crank for more Repsol dough to save his ride.

Rossi will not show till '11.

Ross will show on a Ducati...Stoner will take one of the Repsol seats...likely Pedro-bots.

Todays rumors have Stoner already inked on an HRC contract and that they may have 3 factory seats in '11.

Ducati would be free to pursue Spies then.

Interesting race at Assen, always a good show there...

During the race today even the announcers think Rossi will move to Ducati. Latest rumor is they offered him a $15M Euro contract.

That would open up a Yamaha factory seat for Spies.

If I were a betting man, that's where my money would be.

My question is does Burgess come to Duc as well? That part of the deal? Rossi likes a challenge but keeping up with Jorge on like equipment has proven tough enough, now coming back from a bad break and giving up the tech?

Of course Rossi

has said he wanted to end his career on a Duc with an all Italian flair...

I can see Stoner jumping back to Honda and I can see Dovi losing hios seat. But Pedro has a nice bed of support in his corner...

I'm pretty sure wherever Rossi goes, he's taking his chief mech. He made a big deal about that when he left Honda.

It'll be interesting to see how a 3-seat line-up works out. I guess one factory Honda seat is rumored to be sponsored by Red Bull. Maybe Stoner will take that and they'll build him his own, private MotoGP track ala Shawn White's half-pipe.

Rossi to Ducati
Stoner to Honda
Spies to Yamaha Factory team
Pedrosa stays with Honda

These are all but carved in stone. The wild cards are Hayden, Edwards, Malandri, etc.... Oh and Rossi will be back well before the end of the season. Did you all know that this is the first time that Rossi has missed any races during his ENTIRE career? That's impressive!

Maybe All I membered were Rossi's 7 premiere class championships then. He is the GOAT fo sho...

Oh and I remember Doohan winning a few boring runaways on his Burgess tuned Honda.

Ben Spies goes well on the underpowered Sattelite engines from last years...

I kinda believed Edwards when he claimed they were just down on top end, and I foolishly assumed they would be a tick off Rossi and Jorge but on par with the field. But it seems everything with a factory engine pulls them hard save the Suzuk o course
