He wrecked the Bus a couple hours ago. Broken collarbone and a punctured lung. The bike is in two pieces. He told me brake malfunction was the cause.
He's ok and already looking for a ZX-10...
Oh damn! I hate to ask but how fast was he going?
I hate to see how is on a zx10, he hauled that busa around like it was a 600 ss already

J/K I am really sorry to hear this. It's funny because my Busa broke in half as well... Hmmm...:idk: I'm sure that he'll be back terrorizing the roads there in no time. Give him my best!
damn, hope he heals quickly

The bike hit a tension wire holding up a power pole and kept going another 75 yards into a field.
He said the brakes locked up and he just bailed.
I can't wait to see pics.

He said he squeezed the front and it never released. It just went to full lockup and spit him off.
I'm inclined to believe him. He's not the kind of person that wouldn't take full responsibility for screwing up.

A broken collar bone is no reason not to ride, but it gives hokia a free pass not to get busted again

I've heard of calipers freezing on a car but never worried about it on the bike. Sounds like it could have been much worse.

I had a friend that launched a Busa by the "throttle getting stuck" (his story, fwiw :idk:).
He was pulling out of a parking lot onto a street, the supposed throttle sticking happened, and he shot across the road, across a parking lot, and slammed into the side of a building.
If he did it to himself, that was some real dedication.

Yeah, this was years ago.
He was pretty busted up at the time, but he's fine now.
Rides a cruiser now, I think, if he's riding at all.

Shane on a zx-10, hmm maybe you should disconnect a spark plug wire or 2 to make it a fair fight
