I had to buy this! How weird that Dyson guy is. I'll bet he's related to the grizzly bear suit dude! Anyway, I went to Best Buy and bought it with a gift card I got from work. It's going back, of course but I just had to see this thing in action!
On the positive side, I must say that it is quiet and it definitely pushes some air! It also operates VERY smooth and looks kinda cool, I guess...but over $300? Hahahahahahaha!

There is a more traditional "fan" in the base that sucks in air and then forces it through the loop. The loop has slots where the air is directed out.

George Washington Carver once said, "When you do the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world."
Apparently he neglected to mention the fat fucking price tag you can slap on things because of said attention.

How boring. I thought it was one of the super-charged "ion breeze" things. No high voltage or anything going on with this.

I was hoping for some force field tech at least.

The real danger is plugging those in and not wearing Lineman power gloves.
I saw that fan and probably spent 5minutes playing with it. Cool but not worth $300.
My GF has a fan that I think was stolen from some Air Force wind tunnel. That fucker puts out some god damn air.

Buy a small AC?
I've got AC and two fans running. I think I need one of those room units. Because the AC only brings it down to a bearable temperature. It is by no means air conditioned feeling in there. :lmao:

The Dyson only moves air, it doesn't cool it. Get one of the window AC units if they are allowed where you live (some places ban them as they are energy hogs). The basic ones cost about 1/3rd of the Dyson fan.

Either you're sharing A/C units, they are too small, or they need to be serviced. I'd bitch at them till their ears fall off on getting it fixed.

Original, except for the cords, which were disintegrating. My dad pulled it out of a bank he was helping close a while back. It's the quietest fan I've ever used, and has bitten many a wayward finger in my office. :lol
