WASHINGTON—The introduction of a version of the Apple iPhone for the Verizon Wireless network is not only possible, it is "inevitable," according to a Verizon regional president.
The latest rumor is that Verizon will start selling Apple's iPhone in January of 2011. Not that I'd even consider getting one, but thought I'd pass it on.
interesting, i just read one yesterday that said they wouldnt carry them period
theres rumors of htc developing a new sidekick on android for t-mobile too.
end of the second quarter, its an easy way to drum up stock prices fast. An executive "leaks info" about a phone that they probably wont get until early 2012 at the earliest at the earliest

plus the leak will generate foot traffic in the retail stores where friendly salesmen can demo android devices...

at this point, they've invested so much in the message that "Droid is better" and such why would they shoot themselves in the foot like that?

This morning the wife saw this on the news and announced she's gonna milk her old Razor until January.
I didn't bother remind her that she said something similar last year after she heard on the news that Verizon was planning to realease the iPhone this summer.

They wouldn't be shooting themselves in the foot. If they get the iphone they would add a ton of subscribers. What they have done is created speculation, people are going to be less likely to go sign up for a 2 year contract with AT&T to get the iphone 4 and stick it out with Verizon til at least January.
