Not suprised about Ed Hardey. While it may be a pussy magnet for the few shallow self hating dye job didn't get enough attention from daddy because he was too busy watching the game skanks out there, most women I know hate it.

I have to disagree wiht the fanny pack, mainly because I don't want to get my ass kicked
http://pics.blameitonthevoices.com/022010/old_men_wearing_fanny_packs.jpg

In my opinion I would rank "The North Face" as number 1 or close to Ed Hardey. The only reason you should be wearing "The North Face" is if you are about to climb The North Face of Mt Everest and at that point you are justified to wear a $250+ jacket. Other than that get the $50 one from Walmart or Target that looks and works just the same as that pull over fleece.

North Face is rather boring looking anyway..........It looks like it was styled by Sears or Lands End.

Marmot is much better.

Fuck that. Wear what you like. I don't have any of it but I do like North Face. Saying you need to climb a mountain to wear it is like saying don't my a sport bike unless you are racing it.

I'm bringing the fanny pack back. That should have never went out of style. :rockwoot: Fuck that. Everyone grab a fanny back and hit the first person you see wearing soaks with sandals.

Decent quality? Fucking pieces of shit are made in Jordan and blind monkeys could stitch those things better. I've worn them before and they sucked. I froze my balls off that night. At least LL Bean has a lifetime warranty.

I realized The North Face is nothing more than a yuppie Ed Hardy when i went to REI in 55degree weather and everyone was sporting it.

IMHO Ed Hardy isn't any different than any brand name attire... How can you wear a Polo or Tommy Hilfiger shirt and put down someone wearing EH? What's the difference? Btw I like how someone titled this "EH Owned", my man is a multi millionaire and you are nobody so who exactly has been owned ?

He has been owned, if his brand fades away instead of remaining with staying power like Polo and tons of other brands. Will you see EH in another 5 years, I really doubt it.

And how can you compare EH to Polo anyway.........Polo is basically business-casual wear, that can be worn almost anywhere.......It gets lost in the crowd, you would have to be standing up close to know what brand it is. EH, in contrast, screams for attention from 100 yards away, and it only looks appropriate at a bar or concert maybe..... and that's pushing it.

In your opinion... look I've seen some loud clothes from almost all designers at one time or another. IMHO if you wear "designer" clothes you are in the same boat as EH. Btw for those that think he wont last, that's what they said about Fubu as well. I doubt that he can carry this current trend "forever", although in "fashion terms" it has already been forever. I am guilty of clipping my cellphone to my belt from time to time like right now at work while wearing a suit...it works...for me. Yes there have been some loud clothes from the other designers.

Tommy and Nuatica are the worst. 5- 10 years ago they went after the ghetto crowd with large clothes, bright colors and HUGE labels.

Polo has been a staple of the casual set for decades. I'm not a fan of the newer Polos with the GIANT horse but most of their stuff is pretty subtle.

Fubu is still around? Maybe because I am no longer in 7th grade but I haven't seen anybody flossin' their Fubu lately. :idk:

Hmmm... me either, that wasn't my exact point, merely that everyone said they would close shop in a couple years... probably a bad example. The thing is that lots of people spend top dollar for exclusive or designer clothes, cars, bikes, etc... I buy whatever catches my eye at the time. I personally don't like the EH look because of the large logos. it's the same reason I don't buy Coogi. I buy clothes for fit and the way it looks on me. Almost all of my jeans are either Lucky or Express for this reason.

Getting back to Polo... if the only difference between a Polo polo and an Aeropostal (for example) polo is the logo, why spend 2-3x as much? Could it be the prestige of wearing Polo? Are you really going to argue that Polo brand clothes are that much better than the less expensive brands? Isn't it a fact that all of these clothes are, for the most part, made in some sweatshop in a third world country? I still maintain that the main reason for wearing designer clothing is ''prestige" and not "quality".:idk: I've had Guess jeans that fell apart after a few washes and crappy Old Navy jeans that refuse to die! If you really are olny concerned with "quality" and "wear", go to Walmart and buy some Dickies jeans...they could conceivably BURY you in them if you live to be 80!!!

Uh..........man card revoked. If a girl's got a nice body, what's the problem?

Skinny jeans is a relatively new term that only refers to men's "emo" jeans anyway, as far as I know, so it doesn't apply to women. Women's jeans that are tight are not called "skinny jeans", they're just........normal. :idk:

What's terrible are man's jeans on a girl. They make her look like she's got diaper butt. Totally unflattering.

Gotta agree with this. If you walk around with someone else's brand or name blazoned across your chest on a T-Shirt you paid $35 for you are most definitely a tool. Really, who the fuck pays that much for shirts to advertise for someone else and not get any cut of the profit? .Abercrombie fanboys, Ed Hardy fan boys...whatever, they're all the same.

Who said anything about quality?

I've been wearing Polo since I was a kid. Why? I like them.

Could I wear Aeropostal cheaper? You tell me. I'm not trendy enough to know who has the best deals in the mall.

If I need a casual shirt to go somewhere in, I can be in and out of Macy's in 5 minutes thanks to Ralph Lauren. If I am feeling budget conscious, I can hit up the local TJMaxx and buy them for $30 each.

Why does everything have to become a price war with you? Ed Hardy could be in the bargain bin at Target and they would still be obnoxious and ghey.

Back in hs all the girls wore mudd jeans, those did some nice things

I am also a fan of cheap tshirts - as long as they are comfortable.

I was the cheap guy with the target utility jeans. Still had a good set until a year ago

I got a $20 limit for t-shirts... and if it's more than $10, it better be fucking amazing!

Closeout rack at Kohl's FTW... Axis dress slacks - $16.50, Axis dress shirt $6.50... I almost ALWAYS buy from the closeout rack... fuck buying shit at full price.

Yep that is pretty much what I do.. I don't like paying full price for anything.. clothes or otherwise..

And I have no idea what Mudd jeans look like, but if they look like men's jeans, then sorry, they suck IMO. Women should dress like women.

It was name brand shoes when I was a kid. The first thing anybody looked at on you were your shoes. God forbid if you didn't have Nike, Reebok, Adidas, or BK's on your feet. You couldn't possibly be hanging with the cool kids.

I was all about some LA Lights. Fuck if they are still around I might go get a pair!
http://dalipstickbandit.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/la_gear_lights.jpg

Now in MS I started rocking the old school 3 stripe Addidas (I was obsessed with old school rap, especially Run DMC). A year later those fuckers became popular as fuck and it pissed me off because suddenly everyone had them and everyone thought I was 'posin". Fuckers, I could recite "It's Tricky" and "My Addidas" like I was suppose to recite the preamble to the DOI.

"Hardy was born in 1945 in Corona del Mar, Newport Beach, California. He attended the San Francisco Art Institute and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking. Through his association with Sailor Jerry, Hardy was able to study tattooing in Japan in 1973 with the Japanese classical tattoo master, Horihide. He became recognized for incorporating Japanese tattoo aesthetic and technique into his American style work"

Wrong "fool"! The Ed Hardy designs are based on classic tattoos going back hundreds/thousands of years. Open up your mind fruit cup and quit going by what your other fashion hating homo self loathing friends say. You've probably never even seen True Religion, Silver, Versace, or Ed Hardy in real life. You're just going with the anti-fashion flow... which is even "douchier" imho! "What every else hates Ed Hardy? Well then I hate his clothes too!" It's stupid...:idk:

BTW cupcake I owned a Kenny Roberts RZ350 back in the day and he was one of my heroes growing up so talk what you know. Heck, I even got to shake his hand in Daytona once during Bike Week. I was the original Yamaha fan boy and have owned 11 of their bikes before I switched to Suzuki. I didn't just jump on their jock when they became popular... So talk what you know.

Oops missed this. Nope I bought an R1 and an R6 the same day for a few reasons. I wanted to buy a Japanese inline four. I owned an R1 back in 2000 and wanted another one. I thought they were the two best looking Japanese inline four's in 2007 and performed as good as any of them. I got a better deal by buying two bikes from the same dealer that day.

Oh yeah...I don't even ride the R6 unless I'm testing something on the bike...the wife does...has her pink flames on the windscreen and a 'Girl Power' sticker on the bike as well.

Around here more 'squids' seem to ride gsxr's plain and simple. No I don't think everyone that rides a gsxr is a squid...just seem to see more squid's on them.

I've owned a few Yamaha's...a few Kawasaki's...a few Honda's and ZERO Gsxr's...just never wanted one although yes I do know that they are great bikes.

The only gsxr that I've ever ridden was a few weeks spent on a Turbo Hayabusa and I liked it alot but just never cared to buy a gsxr. :idk:

If I ever decided to buy an open class bike I would buy the Hayabusa over the big Kawasaki though.

Oh and for the record...in this thread I haven't cracked on Ed Hardy or anyone for wearing his stuff. I've also never worn any of his stuff but not saying that I wouldn't. :2cents:

No self respecting squid will ever ride a GSXR. They'll ride a Gixxer
