Remember how, in another thread, I said that it's hard to find an RC51 that isn't fucked up? This is why.

poor poor RC.
I loved the RC and would probably have one if it wasn't for the uncomfortable ergos. I'm 6'4 and did everything I could to try to talk myself into being comfortable on it, and still could not do it.
I can honestly say that is on thing the TL or the CBR has never seen.

Gee what a bunch of sticks in the mud you guys are! None of you have ever done a burn out on a bike or in a car? BTW I seriously doubt that doing a burnout is any harder on the bike than running it normally, at a given speed/rpm under load. If you think it is, please explain why. Oh and please no crazy extreme cases... I'm talking the <30 second type burnouts that guy was doing.

Maybe...but other than destroying a tire, what's the big deal?:idk: Heck, his buddy with the annoying laugh was more disturbing imho...

Never have. Not so much a stick in the mud either, just never really felt it had to be done. At least on a bike.
A car on the other hand, there has been a few here or there. :)

I don't have the disposable income to destroy a bike tire quicker than necessary.
On my cutlass, from time to time yes, but the bike... only once, and the tire was already down to cords about to be changed out.

Oh I understand that completely! You know me, I just love these types of discussions...
I just like to get behind why someone has to be a "homo" for doing a burnout...:idk: By that logic most of us are gay... I'd imagine that the distinction can't be made exempting different types of vehicles. What's the difference whether it's a bike or a car/truck? What about guys that do it on the track when they win a race? Are they "homos" too? This guy was doing it in an empty lot, wearing full gear...if there's ever been a "safe" burnout, this was definitely in that category...
BTW the possibility does exist that this guy was burning off a worn out track day tire. They normally have tons of center rubber left, you may as well burn it off.:idk:

Seriously? Did you really look at that guy? Full gear, bike was stock, and clean as hell... He did two burnouts for about 1 minute total... not exactly stunt hall of fame material.

I never said I had a problem with anybody doing one, it just never really gave me much thrill on a bike.
A car on the other hand, something about doing a nice rolling burn out is cool (I can't do one on a bike). I've been around drag racing all my life, and been around some badass cars both on the street and strip.

Never did a burnout. Not sure my little 800cc can and besides, I like to wear out my tires by putting miles on them.

Fail.
It is a JD. Look at the boom, clearly says DEERE.
Their construction line is Industrial Yellow.

I like to light up a burnout every once in a while... I think it's fun. I don't think it's very hard on the bike and the common folk find it exciting. If you got cash for tires and/or need a new one anyway, I say burn out to your heart's content.

I don't do burnouts much at all anymore because I don't feel like replacing rubber any more often than I have to but I don't really have a problem with it. If that's what you want to do...go for it...I'll watch.

I just bought two sets of new PP 2CT's...maybe I'll lite up the old ones...that's different. I have no desire to lite up good rubber on the bikes these days...cost too much plus it's a pain to change out the wheels/tires to take somewhere to get them mounted. :idk:
It's also boating season and that hobby dips into the wallet a bit too.
The Vette tires get spun up now and then...can't help it with the torque that thing has.

Was that a line of oil or coolant leaking beneath that RC after the second burnout or was I just seeing things. Sign me up for the sees no need for doing burn outs on bikes but I like to watch and make fun, or if they are good, applaud.

Pretty sure that was rubber from the still hot and gooey rear tire as he rode away.
