Talking about/worrying about chicken strips is lame. Focus on your riding instead of your tires.

I check my tires every time I ride. Not the strips but their condition. Pressures and what I may have run over. No one I have ever ridden with has ever said a word about unused rubber on the sides of my tires, but many have complimented me on being smooth.

Lack of strips may mean your doing it right, but also lack of may mean your doing it wrong!

BTW I have fallen in love with this smiley and will be including it in all future posts:diitb:

Wind strips. Once I was riding up to Boulder on 93, which parallels the foothills. The wind was steady about 40mph from the west, and I was heading north. I had a Suzuki GT750 with a Vetter fairing. The bike was leaned about 30 degrees to the left, but with the wind, the bike was going straight. Until I went past a small hill and the wind stopped. The bike would go across the double yellow. And there were several dozen small hills. Only about 20 miles, but it was worse than riding in a thunderstorm.

There you go... clean it and then trailor it 500 miles and fuck it up again.

That'll be one of the more interesting reads within my blog.

Am I riding too hard on the street when I have tire residue(rubber) stuck to my license plate? I'm noticing that the PP's are spinning more and more when i accelerate hard out of the corners.
