Had a bike come back to me once.
Sold it to my wifes friend, who sold it a month later, only to be sold again.
Got a phone calls from wifes friend asking if I wanted to rebuild a bike. Asked what type he kept telling me "your bike".. Bullshit my bike is all safe and sound only a few feet away from me.
Bike was trashed, but got it back into good condition in a month and a shit load of parts.
Would like to find my first bike.. will have to look around and see what I can find. Was a Kawi LTD... just have to remember the size and yr now... (getting old sucks)

Have you ever sold your bike only to track it down years later and buy it back?
I'm interested in finding a couple of my old bikes. Not just bikes of the same model and year, but machines that actually used to belong to me.
Step one..?
Step 1: Contact the buyer who you sold it to and start there.
Duh....

found our bike on Craigslits once. One that our friend didn't finish paying for - essentially stolen. we got what was left of it back (there were several pieces of it that were 100% custom that made the bike undisputably ours). Other than that, never wanted any of them back.
I attempted to buy back my hurricane, kid was in the middle of selling it and wanted another 50% over what I sold it for
God knows what happened to my SV, last I heard it was in a dealership in Chattanooga. My CBARRR is in Canada, I won't find it.
My last bike is actually sitting in my garage next to my current bike, sold it to my brother and I'm holding it for him until he gets his new place this winter rather than leave it outside in my parents back yard. All my other previous bikes have all be trashed and junked

I'd like my R1 back.

Or at least a chance to go back in time and tell myself to fully insure it.

Last time I saw my first bike, the kid was doing a good job tearing it up.

I had quite a few 70s Yahama dirt bikes, wouldn't want any of those exact ones back. I would like to find my '77 Husky 390 CR though.
Out of the street bikes I had and sold, the only one I would want back would be my '82 GPz 750 ( red )

I looked for my Kawi Enduro, but no dice and I would love to find my first street bike, a V-Max, but last I heard the guy wrapped it around a tree.

I would like to know who owns my chopper. I built it so I would like to know. Not own it again but at least know.

I would love my old SV back. I sold it to a friend and she loves it, so I doubt she would resell it back to me.

I've never run across any of my former bikes.
Years ago I owned a 2000 R1 and then sold it due to going through a divorce..
A friend of mine saw it a few months later...chromed out and stretched swingarm. Oh well...to each their own but I can't help to think...:wtfru:

No interest in getting any of my bike's back. Only bike I wish to keep is the one I currently own and won't be selling it anytime soon.

I still have the only two four-strokes I ever bought. But of the bunch of two-strokes I had, I miss my Suzuki GT550 triple the most. I didn't touch the torquey engine, but I put a bunch of bucks into the suspension. That thing could actually handle. I still hope to see it on Craig's List some day.

All record of my communication with the buyer has disappeared, unfortunately.
Tore my shit up tonight trying to find any scrap of anything with a VIN. I didn't save anything. Crap. I wonder how long insurance companies keep records of claims. They'd have to dig something up from 2002...
The state should have a record of title transfer. Whether or not that is considered public info, I don't know....

Yep. I sold them because I didn't want them anymore. Why would I want them back?

I wouldn't mind getting my old gpz900rr back. That sucker was set up nice for two up riding. Except for leaky waterpump seal it was in outstanding condition.
I guess I could setup the zx11 but the 900 pooled better and was already setup

I see my old zx10 drive by my window everyday. My Bonneville is in the local dealership for sale. My gix750 is who knows where. Sold it to a guy in south GA. My c50 Boulevard was back in the dealership last year newly painted orange (it was navy blue when I had it). This past spring I got a PM from the guy who bought my 98 gix600 track bike. He said he had run several trackdays and an endurance race with it, and it was still doing great.
Did I forget anything? Hard to believe I've only been riding 4 years.
