looks pretty clean after its all covered up, but the bike itself looks like ingrown ass hairs. just like the new zx10. there should be a icon that shits, pukes, and then explodes just for those two bikes front ends. fuck they're ugly

There's a silver and red one at the honda dealer by me, one of the salesguys laughed approvingly when I commented how horrible it looked to my buddy.
I don't know what makes it look so bad but it's party the proportions, it's like the shapes and design themes are completely unrelated to last year or any cbr's and they just pulled them out of their ass. The exhaust, the mirrors, the minimalist fairing, it just doesnt work AT ALL. :panic:

I'll stick with the R1...I don't care how great that bike is supposed to be...I just don't like the looks of it.
I've owned Honda and may again in the future so I'm not a Honda-hater at all. I've owned Kawasaki too but don't like the looks of it either...maybe a little better lookin' than the Honda...but that's not saying very much.

the only thing I've seen of the 09 R1 is this...
but I'm 90% sure it's a photochop... the mirrors are 1098 mirrors... exhaust looks like MV Augsta... no way they'll do single sides swing arm... and no need for two diffrent intakes (under the lights and between)

I haven't heard anything yet but looking at the 08 comparisons they will surely have to do something.
In 07' the R1 was at or near the top but being unchanged for 08' they are all of a sudden at the bottom of the litre bike class in performance. :idk:

No way is that thing coming with SSS, ohlins forks, marchesinis, brembo monoblocks, etc... that's a concept through and through... or they're considering making another super special edition again.
It's gonna be hard to top the R1's current styling, but I trust Yamaha can.
