What he said. Plus, if you plan on jailbreaking it, be prepared for it to be a real PITA. I did it to my first Iphone so I could access different stuff Apple didnt want me too, it was a bigger hassle than anything else. And everytime you update Itunes and whatnot you have to restore, reload, and rebreak.

My recipe for iPhone, without the iFuck:

Get a tiny mobile hotspot, and an iPod touch. It offers most of the functionality, and will not be limited to what apps you can run on 3g...all will work, as it flows through the wifi hotspot to 3G, and not from an iPhone, which Apple and AT&T intentionally cripple.

This frees you to use any carrier, and especially those that offer unlimited data plans.

Video on your shit with no limits.

Win.

Some chinese company is also offering a case for the iPod touch that packs phone hardware, so you can get roughly the same functionality (somehow) without being chained to a carrier.

iPhone is AT&T. cellularrenewal.com is a nashville based company that flashes phones. As long as you use a CDMA phone with a CDMA carrier they can flash it to whatever service you want. Same for GSM phones/carriers. Not sure if they deal with iPhones yet or not. They are Nashville Based, but I'm sure there's gotta be someone closer to you that does that...if I'm right, T-Mobile should be compatible with AT&T...

Yea my phone came unlocked so it will work on ATT or T-Mobile right now but I believe that data roaming is only 2G. It's slower but it does work. On the other hand, here in this part of NC T-Mobile doesn't have 3G, so I guess the difference is less of a problem.

Oh, bummer!!

I keep 3G turned off most of the time anyhow because it drains the piss out of the battery...
