I hate 1 hours worth of traffic, much less 2 or 3. I would've shot myself by the end of the first day.

Thankfully I live in Texas and drive a big boy truck. Someone's front yard will be my new way home.

Traffic...the reason I take a bike to work.

1.5 hours by car
25 minutes by bike. lol

I think they can split lanes in China...as you don't see any bikes sitting there like idiots.

It's a free-for-all there so lane splitting doesn't work.

The cars all split lanes regularly (pretty normal to be 8 wide on a 5 lane road in rush hour), so there's no straight line to shoot between them. And they're all bumper to bumper, so zig-zagging isn't an option either.

Bikes will usually go down the right shoulder (as will the pedestrians) which can get pretty chaotic when it comes time for cars to exit the highway.

I'd still do it. I'm a splitting expert. :lol

Can the Chinese there at least drive? Cause they sure as fuck can't here in CA.

Damn, I am glad I only live 15 miles from where I work 1/2 super slab and 1/2 surface streets and I am there in just under 20 minutes by car, 15 flat by bike:welcome2: sometimes

To make things even more sickening...

I have been driving the same commute for 13 years...

That makes 338 days in my car over the past 13 years!! AND I only averaged an aproximate 12 hour a week commute.. In reality I get stuck in traffic quite a bit.:wtfru:

OH that makes me want to go put my notice in!

I average about 45 minutes in traffic eachway 5 days a week...sometimes it's 30 minutes and at the worst about an hour again...eachway.

I couldn't really handle much more than that. I hate stop and go traffic for the most part.

45 min commute, so just over 16 days a year if I went every weekday. With vacation and holidays, I probably average around 14 days or so.

10 miles, 10 minutes each direction. 5 miles of highway, 5 miles of surface streets. If the highway is ever backed up there is a handful of surface routes I can take that would add no longer than 5-10 minutes to my commute.

I hate traffic with a passion. That's why I moved away from Seattle. My commute there was 45 -60 minutes each way to go 12 miles... FUCK THAT. I was ready to go postal on motherfuckers.

Used to have a 45 minute commute and before that for about 8 months it was an hour each way ( back in Texas)

I much prefere my current commute but don't love the side of the city I have to live on to have that commute.

I would hate that too. I hate my commute some days...30-60 minutes but not quite as bad since that is for around 27 miles.

How is that possible?

10 miles in 10 minutes is 60mph non-stop.

No way you are doing a constant 60 mph without stopping on surface streets. If you average 45mph on the surface streets it would take almost 7 minutes from the highway.

Are you able to manage a constant 91 mph on the hwy in rush hour traffic?

Surface streets are a 55 mph limit, flow usually runs about 60mph. The highway is a 70mph limit and the traffic flow is 80-90mph. I spend 1/2 mile on 35mph street, that is the slowest part of the drive.

Damn. Must be nice.

My surface streets are 45 limit, 40-50-ish pace and a 35 limit with a 40-ish pace.

With lights, I'm probably at about a 30mph average.

Yup. Seattle. 60+ minutes each way for me. I refuse to do the math to find out how much time I'm wasting.

2-3? Pussy, Atlanta can get a 2-3 hour backup on a quiet Sunday afternoon.

The comments were awesome!
I LOVE THIS!! I WISH IT WOULD HAPPEN IN 50 US CITIES, & MANY CITIES WORLDWIDE!!

It proves I'M RIGHT! AND EVERYONE ELSE WAS WRONG!

BUILD TOWER CITIES CONNECTED TO MAG-LEV TRAINS WORLDWIDE BY ENDING THE CAPITALIST WAGE (SMALL TEMP INCOME) & SAY ALL PEOPLE OWN ALL THINGS ON EARTH!

ONLY T&T WILL SAVE THE EARTH!!

I hope there is a repeat in AMERICA & W/W CITIES like the 60 MILE TRAFFIC JAM IN BEIJING, CHINA, WHICH WILL LAST FOR WEEKS

I have one advantage to living in a small town. No fucking traffic jams. I have a 7 minute commute to work, and only live 3 miles away (all of it is 30MPH). The big traffic problem in this town would be all the damn trains. We get railroaded constantly around here because the town is too cheap to build overpasses. Oh well, I'm at least thankful for the lack of commute. My cousin lives in Chicago and rides a bus to the train station, then takes the train into the city. He spends 4 hours a day on busses and trains, making his 8 hour day a 12 hour day, for 5 days a week. FUCK THAT!!

F that Capt.

I remember when I had a 65 mile commute to work... 45-50 mins everyday. The only reason why I was able to endure for so many years... I was traveling opposite of the majority.

In the morning I was going north from Royal Oak to Flint, everybody else was going south from Gennesse county to Troy & 696 (sth). In the afternoon the opposite. I would be cruisin at 80mph/cruise set and they would all be stuck in a jam...

Well my commute so far has not been impacted by school opening which is unlike the previous 5 years that I've lived in my current home. There is a new high school in the area and maybe that is the reason...not sure but whatever it is...I hope it stays this way. :rockwoot:
