Have you no pride? J/K, it's all good. You would never see my bike like that. There was this one day, before a group ride, a buddy and I went to get something before we all met up at my house. On the way back, he showed me this shortcut that had a couple nice bends. A backroad, nothing crazy. So my dumb ass speeds up to take this nice left bend. What do I see?? A fucking stream of water running right through the middle of it! Just a little 2 foot wide stream. I'm leaned over a little bit and I know if I kept on, I would've lowsided easily. There wasn't a curb to the right, so I straighten up and go off road. Off road was where the puddle from the stream was. I go straight through it. I didn't wreck, but my bike was COVERED in mud. I get home and everyone is finally there. I made them wait 45 minutes until I detailed my bike and got all that shit off there. I hate it when my bike's dirty, that's just me...

Hell yeah and that's proly why you can sell your GSXR for as much as you are. Because that shit's clean.

Exactly. If that shit is beat up and in the shape a 16 year old bike SHOULD be...I'd be scoring about a grand for it.

mechanically sound is top priority in my book, looks come in second, spotless is impossible seeing as how we dont have a garage yet

If I kept my bike that shiny clean, I'd never have time to ride.
Being a DD and working 12 hour days... i'd rather ride.

Not saying it's filthy... but by no means could it roll onto a showfloor!

It literally takes me 5-10 minutes to wipe it down with a quick detailer and a real nice $5 terry cloth. Ocasionally I'll use Plexus to finish. Shit looks tip-top.

My bike's always dirty and looks like shit... That's the beauty of a streetfighter... Reason # 954 to sell the 954... I want a bike that LIKES to be dirty.

Same here. I'm not talking a top to bottom detail...but I hit it with plexus and a microfiber towel all the time. Takes 10 minutes to make it look nice.

I made the decision that I would only wash the wheels every 5k miles on the Buell. They were black, a pain in the ass to clean, and looked like shit after you rode around the block. I don't miss that shit AT ALL.

Well the orange shows brake dust easily...so I like to wipe them down pretty often. Usually just a dry paper towel.

Oh, the front wheel is easy to clean... It's the back wheel that's a BITCH.

Yeah. My pods/airbox/tail look decent. it's the exhaust and wheels that look like shit. Rear is a bitch, expecially with the exhaust blowing on it.

I bought a can of a wash/wax spray stuff that works awesome. I can clean the whole thing in about 10 minutes.

I use Goo-Gone to clean the rear wheel and sometimes the front and then go over them with the quick detailer to get the remnance off the goo-gone off and they're clean as fuck. If you wash them more often the less of a bitch they would be to clean.

Yeah, but you're wheel is more exposed and has less sharp recesses and shit... It's not getting the shit off the wheel that's the problem... it's getting TO the shit on the wheel...

Hey Drewpy my brother lives in Clarksville and even though I know it's still alittle ways away he is always looking for some fellow riders to ride with that don't ride stupid. he's needing some new tires before he gets back out n should have them in the next month or so But if you didn't mind he could use someone to ride with and show him a thing or two since he's only been riding for about 6 months or so But he's a pretty good rider but some further assistance wouldn't hurt him and you seem like a pretty stand up rider.
his user name is mschroeder1980 on the ETR board , I'll give the link to this board ......
