Monday, I went with some friends and my LITTLEST sister and "broke" into an abandoned Budget automotive/Suzuki shop(The back door was open and LOTS of other people I know have been in there)
We stole some Diagnostic Computers and other expensive tools.
The paper work says 19 items
but then again the paper work also says we where out after curfew(LIE) and the "vandalized" the shop (we went in and took what we needed nothing more)

What where we going to do with the shit?
Gonna start working on cars to help save out house.
Since I can't get a job and mom hardly makes enough to pay utilities.
So this is the only thing I could think of.

And I alone took the full blame

BTW the situation isn't "severe" enough to "justify" theft until you don't have a place to live and food to eat. Not when you're down to your last two laptops, you've had to settle on keeping your two year old LCD instead of buying the LED unit and you're only eating out twice a week instead of three times. Or because you're struggling to pay the mortgage you took out 3 years ago to buy a boat. The problem with most people is they don't know how to tighten up when things get tough.

I moved from Mi to NC. Sold my house and moved into a 1 bd apt. Ran the lease out on my $40,000 truck and bought a $1200 car. Lived here the first year cold in the Winter, hot in the Summer and eating Ramen 2 meals a day. The only reason I still had things was because of my previous savings. I bought the things that were important to me (bike stuff) and left everything else at the store. I eliminated ALL habits to include Starbucks, etc. I never ate out. As soon as possible, I took a job making HALF of what I made in Mi even though I still had unemployment benefits. I sold frivolous items, believe it or not. No I don't want a medal but I wish that I could make people understand that not being able to keep your $2-300,000 house, 3 cars, 2 bikes, etc, etc, etc is not justification for this type of behavior. I'm honestly tired of hearing this crap!

I was watching an episode of "Hopkins" which is about doctors at Johns Hopkins hospital and their top neurosurgeon came to America (illegally) without knowing any English and worked as a day laborer digging ditches and trimming trees. He decided to become a doctor and worked his way through college and med school to become one of the top neurosurgeons in the world.

I myself literally dug ditches ($9-10 an hour) while I payed my way through school. Up at 5:30am every morning and worked until 4-5pm. I then went straight to school Monday-Thursday and stayed until 8pm (and sometimes 10:30) to go home and do HW. I studied on my lunch breaks and any chance I had. I'm now an EMT and plan on working my way up to a Physicians Assistant.

People have no excuses for going to a life of crime. You can always better yourself but it just takes hard work.

Your POV seemed to be that it is almost inevitable that if you go to prison you will be raped. I find that hard to believe considering the level of surveillance. Your POV seemed to be that it is almost inevitable that if you go to prison you will be raped. I'm telling you, I've had more than a few friends go to prison, some family and I've had my fair share of troubles from the early 2000's. That doesn't happen unless it's a very rare and extreme case. Most cases of "rape" are when a punk gets caught getting railed up the ass and doesn't want to go to the hole for an A charge which is about 6 months and possibly a custody demotion, so he lies and says it was rape. Hell, my dad did 8 years in the 90's for cocaine possession and did time at one of the most notorious prisons in Al. He said he never heard of it once happening, too many gay guys for it to be necessary.
