If you pause the video, there is a decent amount of room between him and the bike in front of him. The other vehicles had started moving, but he hadn't yet. If he'd stayed almost wheel to wheel, he might have actually faired better. Regardless, I don't think there's anything he could have done. At first, it looks like the van is going to pop back into it's own lane after bouncing off the other truck, then it keeps on coming and tips over the rest of the way.

It's probably one of those Toyotas with a stuck throttle. Either that, or some woman was taking a picture of herself while driving.

My guess is driving too fast along with having the suspension (front right) or he/she lost the front tire. All of that with the weight of the load on the roof combined to make it a bad day for that rider.
