The world will shake us off like a bad cold when we're gone.

He was right about ALOT of things...

Funny thing is: the so called "save the Earth" people don't care about the Earth as much as they care about the Earth's ability to support human life.

Yes, what we do to the Earth doesn't matter. After all, it only affects us in the present. Mother Nature will fix the damage in a few hundred or thousand years, so that makes it OK. Who cares if what we do hurts other people in the here and now.

in the here and now.

Which is much like the future, only closer.

The issue isn't "saving the earth"
The issue is how to feed a growing human population.

that last picture looks like Rama...

The article is ridiculous. Of course the earth will heal itself of all the damage we do, when we are gone. The point of all the conservation efforts is to prevent mass suicide by high horsed stupidity, and taking out thousands upon thousands of species and ecosystems with us.

a non windowed capsule like above comes into the solar system, and the exploratory team finds an alien ecosystem...

This.

Stop breeding.

Unfortunately, from watching episodes of Springer, I know this is an impossibility.

If someone really cared that much about the planet, they would kill everyone they know and then themselves.
