lol this is funny

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20100913/tuk-teen-banned-from-us-for-barracking-o-45dbed5.html

Luke Angel was reprimanded by police on both sides of the Atlantic after firing off a drunken message to the White House calling the president a "p****".

The FBI intercepted the message and contacted police in the UK who went to see the 17-year-old at his home in Silsoe, Bedfordshire.

Luke, a college student, is now on a list of people who are banned from visiting the States.

The teenager told the Bedfordshire On Sunday newspaper that he had sent the email after watching a TV programme about September 11.

When asked about the ban, Luke said: "I don't really care. My parents aren't very happy about it.

"The police who came round took my picture and told me I was banned from America forever."

A Bedfordshire Police spokesman said: "The individual sent an email to the White House full of abusive and threatening language.

"We were informed by the Metropolitan Police and went to see him. He said, 'Oh dear, it was me'."

Officers will take no criminal action.

Joanne Ferreira, of the US Department of Homeland Security, said there are about 60 reasons a person can be barred.

She added: "We are prohibited from discussing specific cases."

If he sent a threatening email regarding Obama, no doubt he is really banned from the USA.

Hell, I got caught for Possession of Marijauna, and cant cross the border without getting written consent beforehand (which can take months), So I would think threatening the president of the USA would call for a full ban.

Yeah I know.

The article mentioned "abusive and threatening language" but didn't give any example other than referring to Obama as a prick.

I'd like to see the language used. :idk:

"Obama is a prick!!!" = Come on ovah...half the country or more thinks so too!

The kid is obviously a tool for not knowing the difference.

I want to see the actual emails too.

It is funny how free speech is not really free if the listeners do not like what they are hearing.

I laughed when I read that. I pictured it as a clip from Family Guy..

Would definitely like to see the e-mails. If he simply called the pres a prick and cussed at him, then it's BS. If he actually threatened the pres, well, ya, that's pretty fuckin stupid. Wonder if they'd kick us out of the US if we sent an e-mail telling him he's a prick.

zing!

Regardless of my opinion of Obama, the dude did send an email that was inflammatory and there are consequences for stuff like that. Granted, banning the dude from the country for all eternity is kinda harsh

Now, WE can call the guy a prick but that's cuz he's OUR president, not his ;)

Are you saying I do not know the truth?

I'm saying you couldn't find the truth with a flashlight, and a laser-guided truth seeking missile, aimed through a microscope, pointed at a field of truth berries.

Truth find, you cannot.

The truth is there for those who seek it.

I don't have access to that page...prolly why I do not know it was there.

Here, have a nice big bucket of access:

"To be able to play in the war room (politics/religion subforum), go to your usercp. In the Networking tab, click Group Memberships.

Select the Join Group bubble for the Warriors group and click join group button.

The war room will now appear in the forum tab. If you do not wish to see this forum after you add it, you can go back to this same tab and leave the group.

Enter at your own risk."

You sure there isn't some kind of CA law that limits the amount of CO2 emissions caused by "smacking some truth upside" someone's head? There's a law about everything else.

Wouldn't want you to get in trouble.

Odds are if he hates Obama he does love the Queen. Usually the haters of the queen also hated Bush and love Obama.

She is the British PM most analogous to American Republicans in general and Reagan more specifically. She also kind of looks like a dude. There was low hanging fruit so I picked it.

If a person had someplace else to go that would be preferable to federal prison for most.

Spring Hill man gets prison for threatening congresswoman
By ELAINE SILVESTRINI | The Tampa Tribune
Published: September 16, 2010
Updated: 09/16/2010 03:53 pm

TAMPA - A Spring Hill man who threatened U.S. Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite during the health care debate will spend more than two years in federal prison.

Eric Lawrence Pidrman, 66, claims he was in an alcoholic blackout when he telephoned Brown-Waite's office about 6:30 a.m. on March 25 and left a message saying he had 27 people who would make sure she "doesn't live to see her next term."

"I'm terribly sorry that it ever happened," Pidrman said this morning before he was sentenced. At the time of the morning he made the call, he said, "I very often watch the recycled news shows on MSNBC."

When agents questioned Pidrman in April, he said he was upset about threats reportedly made against Democrats during the health care debate. He said he probably thought, "Let me scare one of those righties."

Pidrman also opposed Brown-Waite's support for the exhumation of veterans buried in France.

U.S. District Judge Steven D. Merryday imposed a 27-month sentence, more than twice as long as recommended by the prosecution under a plea deal. The government had agreed not to oppose a term at the low end of the sentencing guidelines, which called for 12 to 18 months behind bars.

But Merryday said he felt a longer term was required because of the gravity of the threats.

"These threats are disturbing, and they are calculated to interfere with the operation of the community," he said. "It is not an inconsequential matter to interfere with a congressional representative's right to cast their vote freely."

After Pidrman is released from prison, he must serve three years of probation during which he must refrain from alcohol and have no contact with Brown-Waite.

Defense attorney Ronald Kurpiers asked the judge not to send Pidrman to prison. He said his client has prostate cancer, osteoarthritis and other medical problems, and has no one in his life other than his 11-year-old dog and his neighbor.

Kurpiers said Pidrman is "an avid reader and an avid watcher of television."

"He gets wrapped up in the news," the lawyer said. "He got wrapped up in the health care decision."
