View Full Version : 2003 GSXR parts?
Where is a good place to get some parts for a 2003 GSXR 750? A buddy of mine got one pretty cheap, but it was beat up a little bit, dropped on both sides, and lowered. He wants to get it back to stock height , and fix some of the broken or bashed parts.
It needs:
Seat (the one on it now is cool but says hoochie mama in pink letters)
Kickstand (this one is shortened quite a bit)
Stock suspension links
Frame sliders
brake lever
foot brake
The guy probably should get a set of plastics too, but its his first bike in 20 years and he barely remembers how to ride and doesnt want to do them for at least a year.

Honestly, ebay. All of that stuff will be on there. Put 02-03 in the search because I think the 02 model was exactly the same.
ebay and bike bandit. maybe gsxr.com?

wera forums as well guys always converting street bikes to track/race.
found a seat kickstand, and brake pedal on amazon. The brake lever and sliders can easily be bought in the store. Ebay is the only place ive seen the stock links

Hope he bought this heap for only 1 or 2K tops
Its actually in pretty good shape, 19k miles on it, and had one owner, a 45 year old black woman who rode it bike nights and thats pretty much it. She had a small lowslide a month back and decided it was time to get a cruiser. The bike fits the bikerboy stereotype, almost slammed (about 3" of ground clearance), and the left side is in good condition, the right side has some scrapes on it, but nothing really deep. Both tires are fairly new, as is the chain and sprockets, and it has the maintenance book stamped off by the same dealership from (could be fake, I dunno) that the bike was serviced by them
The shape that the bike is in is prolly worth 2k the way it is now, 3k to 3.5k if the right side was good. He paid 2.5k

I have a list saved of Motorcycle Junkyards saved on my computer somewhere (but they are near me). If you Google search you can find motorcycle junkyards near you. There has to be plenty of GSXR parts. Maybe check out the "Tree of Shame".
he ordered all the parts except the dog bones from amazon, gonna buy the sliders and lever from the local store, just need to find a non ebay place to buy the stock sized dog bones

did u guys get a look at the dogbones on there now? 99% of them sold have 3 holes, the stock height hole, 1.5 inches lower hole, 3inch lower hole. or some variation.(stock, 1" lower, 2" lower, whatever.)
might not need to buy anything...
wheres the pics?
isnt amazon kinda pricey?
also for future reference, 00-03 750, 01-03 600, 01-02 1000, just about everything is interchangeable cosmetically

Trouble is, who knows whether one of those holes really gives you the stock height
No the part on there now is chrome and has 1 hole.
As for the bike nights, they did some cruising to and from. I went to one with her and her bf and we did almost 80 miles round trip. I just didn't care for the group of riders
