Yea, I HATE rally cars for that reason! Is the Fiesta even available with rear wheel drive? Forget the 600+hp engine, paddle shift, 6 speed, mega suspension, etc... Could you imagine watching this video and then test driving the actual car? What a let down....:lol: At least the WRX and Lancer perform reasonably well from a dealer showroom with the right options. Can you even buy a "fast" Fiesta?:idk:

Not yet, but the Fiesta ST should be introduced (unlikely for this market) next year with a bit of extra performance. Ford's primary vehicle for this type of racing is the Focus and that can be had in other markets in RS trim with over 300hp and 325lb/ft of torque. Ford claims a 0-60 of under 6 seconds and a top speed over 160mph.

They may bring a turbo Fiesta over but I doubt it will be AWD. The extra weight and expense isn't necessary to deal with the 170-180 horsepower the car is suspected to have. It is especially unlikely when you consider that Ford decided to stay front drive only on the 300+hp Focus RS.
