The city repraved the caynon road we ride on every Sunday and now its all fucked up. It feels like they grated it. I think they did on purpose to keep us from racing up and down on it. I tried to do 70mph on it and it felt like the front and rear were riding on ice.

Get a motard, bad road conditions are your friend because it keeps the sportbikers away so you have an empty fun road to play on.

Or, you could buy a fucking map.

I'm reasonably certain there is more than one road in California.

That was nice of them. Here they lower the speedlimit to the point that bicycles wear their brakes out trying to obey it. Then they pop you with a 20+ over ticket despite they radared you while being passed by a fully loaded minivans and RVs.

It is nice to explore new roads. I was just driving through NC randomly and found a sweet road where I recall the last posted speedlimit was 55mph despite if you mainatined that you'd die from smacking or going over a cliff.

They paved a boat-load of the few very good "gaps" in virginia in the past few weeks with tar and gravel.......messed them up good for several months too. But thankfully.....I own a map :rockwoot:

Yeah...we are going to have to. Closest next road is 45 minutes away.

San Diego people ride Palomar. That shit is like 100 miles from me. Not to mention I'm running soft race tires, which are already getting chewed to shreds. The Bridgestone guy had either Hards are softs.

Yeah...I need to, but the only day I can ride is on Sunday and I only allow about 5 hours to do so. Also if you crash on the other roads that are out in the mountains, ur kinda fucked.

I'm wondering if the shit will smooth out from all the cars driving on it over time. I mean they just layed the stuff a week ago.

No it isn't. You were already going that direction anyway.

And what about Idyllwild and all that stuff?

The gravel settles in the center track of the "lane". Unless they come back and sweep the road later, it stays there and becomes a huge hazard for bikes

Palomar is about 90miles to actually get to the tight side.

Idyllwild is OK, but I'd rather go to Palm Desert. They have a nice 8 mile stretch from the top to the bottom and is super smooth.
