Those are wolf spiders. We get them like crazy here. They really start to show up inside in the fall, when the weather starts to get cold. I caught one in my house that was so big that it got red-eye from the camera. I kept it as a pet for a while. It would eat any insect that was smaller than itself.

The cool thing about them is that they don't build webs. They overpower their kills. They're tough, and faster then hell.

Here's the one I caught in my house. Those are 12" floor tiles. Note the red-eye.

I killed two more just like that last week. One bit one of my dogs and he swelled up like a balloon. I had to give him Benadryl.

I believe the op video was a fishing spider, yours might be too. Live near a river? I torched one in my back yard a few months back as part of my zero tolerance policy on things that scuttle

See them ALLLLLL the time here in NC. Wolf spiders don't even phase me. If they're big enough like the one that guy was being a pansy over, I'll catch them and let the kids feed it moths and other small bugs.

A friend of mine tried to "relocate" a spider with babies on its back once. Accidentally dropped it on the garage floor and the babies spread like a cloud across the ground. It went from a simple spider relocation to four grown men dancing around trying to stomp as many of the babies as we could in an instant

If I didn't have a kid and pets, I'd just let them be. They keep the crickets dead. For the most part, if you approach them, they just run away.

Outside yes...inside F no due to reasons like......

I walked face-first into a web built across the entrance to my bathroom once at about 3AM.

The panic sets in when you walk into a spider web and it doesn't break.

F this !!

I don't mind spiders outside...saw a big Garden Spider Saturday when cutting the grass like in the pic below and just let him be BUT he better stay outside...that is all.

Yeah AND they can walk on water... My dad lost a chainsaw in the Ohio River when the dock he was tearing out released a Wolf Spider that proceeded to run across the water in his direction... 300lb dad in one direction, running chainsaw in the other... literally over his head. lol

Had one crawl up my leg when I was taking a shit at the track before.

I had one run up my arm when we were relocating a wood pile one time... that SUCKED. I also woke up with one in my tent about 6 inches away from my head when Drewpy and I were at the Gap. That would have sucked if I would have woken up facing it... luckily, I didn't see it until after I sat up and turned around.

Ugh. I dont mind them usually, and I hate killing anything, but bets are off if a friggin huge spider surprises me. Smack first, regret later.

I've gotten the one's with babies too...made my skin crawl for days...

Only time I've ever blacked out was when one of those huge m'fing wolf spiders tried to jump on me during a canoe trip. Witnesses report I stood up and walked on water till I hit the shore. I dont remember anything other than it coming at me. My sister remembers half drowning when I dumped her, the canoe and everything in it into the river.
