18,000 is a bit much and I don't really agree with some of the technologies involved....but still a MONSTER. Hope it handles better than the old one's.

Sweet.
The exhaust is kinda ugly, but other than that I like it.

They sure do a lot of burnouts in the opening video... squids.

Motor is said to produce 210 BHP...can't wait to see what the Power Commander guys do with this when they remove the factory emissions lean mixture!

The older V-maxes handled like school buses full of fat kids. Hope this one's better. Still a heavy beast. I'll take one on in the twisties and see how she does.

Technically, it's a "power cruiser." Realistically, its a really ugly computerized drag bike. Always has been. That's what the Max is known for (minus the computerized part...that's just on the latest one).

and on top of being ugly, it sucked as a dragbike.

the new one is still ugly, and i highly doubt the new 1 can take on the busa or 14 at the strip bcuz of its design.

seems like competition for the m109, or vulcan, or roadstar warrior

Truth. Right now, it's the fastest, most powerful stock production cruiser by a VERY large margin out there. Now, in the sport bike world, that aint saying much. But in the cruiser world, it's huge. I wish Honda would bring back the Magna. :(

If it's gotta be a cruiser, might as well make it a V4 so it sucks less.

agreed-

That's why I ride a Magna now. The V4 has the smoothest power band of any engine I've ever experienced. Right off idle it goes, and goes, and goes all the way till ten and a half grand where it redlines.
