diamonds and gold do nothing but increase in price. They can melt the gold and resell it. The diamonds can be mounted in another piece. You actually make them money by selling your rings back for what you paid for it.

Ehhh...I'm not buyin it. You already overpaid by 3000%. I could understand how they could sell if for a similar amount, but make more money (within a reasonable amount of turnaround time to resell) doesn't add up.

Well then don't buy it, I don't really care, but my jeweler will buy and has bought some of the pieces from my family that we had him make for us for the price we purchased them for... Keep shopping at Zales and Jared.

As I said in the thread earlier, I took an engagement set back and received a full refund. The ring were never worn or fitted so they just put them back in the display for sale.

Even REAL jewelers that custom make one-off pieces will buy them back. MOST will take them back at the sold price....some will require 10% "restocking"
I learned a lot from my wife...her dad was a custom jeweler for years

It gets better. I can't find the video but I found it somewhere on Bing Video a while back. The dude busts in and there is "construction" tape all around with one woman wearing a hard hat, orange vest, and a face painted like Kiss.
