Not much in brooklyn latley but all the craziness is up in the Bx, where that wannabe gang sodomized and beat up some gay guys then some tool ran fromm a westchester cop on a quad. Quad ran out of gas, a struggle ensued and the cop shot and killed the guy.

yeah it's been quieting down around my workplace as well. temps start touching the thirties and all the gangbangers go south for the winter apparently. LOL we will have the occasional warm day still though.

we had a few shooting/murders last week on a road that the girl and I had been on a short while ago for an event. she was less then impressed with the whole thing. LOL

fortunatley I was off, whenever a cop gets shot its a MAJOR production and there are elevny billion cops and suits around. Sadly the shooter lived though, these cops need to learn to be better shots ;)

WOW... the worse part I deal with the cops is the driving awards to generate revenue. My buddy was telling me about how bad Knoxville is with everything. And I know a few local to me departments that write tickets like paper is going out of style.

In the nicer areas its more about generating revenue, the areas around my job are like a warzone so its more actual policework involved with all the shootings, stabbings and robberies going on. They do pull a lot of cars over as well just to "find things" when you see a young male driving a new 7 series BMW or high end car in these neighborhoods odds are prety good he didnt save his pennies from a paper route to buy one.

Plus NYPD has a separate dept city hwy (nazi scumbags IMO) to handle the speeding tickets etc... theyre actualy hated by the regular NYPD

I know next to nothing about guns, I just know how to fix people who get hit.

problem here is theres a shit ton of illegal guns down here and none of these skells knows how to shoot. We see a lot of leg injuries because these guys have to look badass and hold the gun sideways like on tv. Some of the beat cops arent too good either but i know a few of the ESU guys and those guys are all serious marksman.

if we let a few of you guys loose out here you can def thin the herd, and no need to take cover thes idiots will miss anyway.

Yup, in the belly of the beast, kings county hospitals trauma center is a busy ER to begin with but as far as penetrating trauma (shootings and stabbings mostly) theyre the busiest Er in the country.

I dont see a lot of the trauma we get all the crazy medicla stuff since were a stroke center and have one of the few theraputic and diagnostic cath labs in brooklyn. prety scary that in a borough of over 1 million people we have only 3 level 1 trauma centers and 2 cath labs.

that seems to be the thinking around here anyway. ride the bus the beatings and shooting won't happen if you just keep riding the bus. We had a string of violent attacks on our bus system. more then normal even. the word they put out was just keep riding it will go away essentially. yeah right.

We have had a few bus drivers attacked here as well, a few weeks back I took care of a 70 yr old lady who was mugged and was stabbed in the arm. We did all the police and hosp police reports and figured ok same ole same ole and they wont catch the skells. the lady came back to have her stitches removed and told me they caught the guy, granted he will prolly get a slap on the wrist and be back out there but at least they got him. Plus I got to se ehe rwound afterwards and I must say I did a damn fine job sewing it back up. Took me over an hr to do because a few muscles were damaged.
