Sorry, i just rode 600 miles yesterday in about 8 hours. had to collect my sanity last night.

Updates will be arriving shortly, i'll have pics of the bike post crash (Rae, can you send me some of yours? you've got my e-mail)

and up through the work i've done so far.

So far its all good, i can salvage most of my fairings, the only ones i think i'll need are the nose piece, a small support piece, and the lower right piece.

mechanically the bike is flawless. I found the spot where the coolant is leaking, and im not sure why its leaking there, its just some useless looking little nub. easy fix, and no structural damage to the reservoir. i may have to bend a mounting point for a fairing, but im not sure yet. A little plastic expoxy on a couple small cracks (like 1-5 mm) and these fairings should be ready to go.

Thinking im going to re-paint everything white/black , grey/white , or grey black... haven't made up my mind, have to get ducks in a row first.

i'll have an update around noon, i have a major case of poison ivy from our river experience... so its time to go take a shower and apply calamine lotions.

poison ivy enh? Poor thing, I'm sorry, I wonder where it came from??

Makes that idea even worse in hindsight, but still worth the adventure and bruises I think...

definatly came from the hill me and nick went down to get to the river... i called him and asked if he had the same problem. so far, no... but he said he never had it before. its hard to diagnose if you've never had it, at first it just feels like a bunch of mosquito bites.

i'll pm you my addy.

Not everyone is allergic to it. I think it's one of those things that goes in 7 year phases. When I was a kid, I would always climb this one tree in our backyard using a vine that was wrapped around the tree. After years of doing this, my dad was out there one summer and cut the vine. I asked why, and he pointed to the leaves on it and showed me it was poison ivy. I never had a problem. :idk:

LMAO same thing with me, I used to play in it all the time as a child, freaked my grandparents out when they realized where I was playing, but I never had a reaction, still dont, but I dont think I fell down the hill quite the way you guys did...

since you mention it, i NEVER got it as a kid either. I think my first bout of it was in my late teens. I lived in the country, and it would only be miraculous that i'd never rolled in the stuff before.

I had never gotten poisen ivy till last summer. Then I got it really bad and had to be taken to the ER for it as i just wouldn't stop spreading as hard as i tried not to scratch it.. Had to get steroids and shit to stop it. Before that I used to be able to dive into a patch of it and come out fine, literally.

the stuff isnt supposed to spread once you've washed the oils off. You may have developed cellulitis from the infection though.

Let me tell you a little bit about cellulitis...
