The Corolla is the #1 car in Africa and the Middle East, for whatever that's worth. Shit just keeps on running.

Good luck with Japanese automatic transmissions though.

I still wouldn't get an auto on a Corolla..........Shit would be slow as hell. Also, auto trannies on 4-cylinders tend to shift like shit.

My only concern is the low mileage on 22 year old car.
Looks good and useful body style.

I remember those radio antennas that you had to pull out by hand
My 90 Mazda MX6 had one like that

As a 2 decade old beater\commuter it will get the job done.
Slow? No.
Not for its intended purpose. It will be just as slow as a 20 year old Miata.

Thing with the automatics is that there is maintenance (fluid changes, etc) that is often overlooked and leads to failures

There is nothing wrong with Japanese auto trannys. The problem comes in when you don't change the fluid OR you overfill the thing.

90's Honda Accord owners would say otherwise.

They had issues with Honda's yes, because Honda made the transmission, not Aisin.

You should be able to do a lot better than $2500 for that.

Get an old RWD Corolla for $500, assuming it hasn't rusted to shit.

Woodhaven blows just like you Assman. Downriver rats don't swim upstream which is why here on the West side the air is clear and not choked full of feces and pollution like downriver.

That Cav wagon looks to be in pretty good shape.

What city is the "west side"? You live in Milford?

Nah snobby Plymouth.

I'll keep my downriver rat image. I'm ok with it.

Plymouth is snobby? More like generic 60's suburb IMO. To me, everything between Canton & Livonia is all the same generic stuff. Now, Northville might be considered snobby.

Nah... Plymouth is up n coming.

It was canton, then northville, then brighton, now plymouth.

1. I don't live in Plymouth
2. Plymouth is not "up and coming" if anything it is one of the older towns around with tons of history - used to be Plymouth-Canton which encompassed Plymouth, Canton and Northville. Plymouth was "up and coming" as you say back in the 70s.. That's when I moved to Plymouth in 1976. Canton followed. Northville followed. Then Brighton now subset into Green Oak as well. Then Howell thought gee its our turn! They built a $20m high school that now sits vacant (or did) because they couldn't afford to run it because of the economic crash and lack of population increase as they had projected.

But really Brighton and Howell are not technically part of the "West" side. Do not speak of things of which you do not know Mr. Gasman. Just stick to the history of downriver which consists of in 1970 the landfill was knee high and now it reaches the sky. The rat population is up 1.3 billion percent.

Northville, Novi, Farmington Hills and Bloomfiled are snobby IMO.

Yeah, Brighton and Howell and not considered the West side from what I can remember.
