negative ghost rider

never seen anything, don't plan to see anything and have spent plenty of time in so-called haunted houses. One was owned by a family member, and while their son (in his 30's at the time) was found locked in a bedroom in the corner with a handgun cause something was after him I still fail to believe.

maybe, but only because our mind lets it be.

we can freak out and BELIEVE we saw a ghost, there for the thought of a ghost exists, and existing is half the battle

Exactly. I can't believe how many retarded shows of people scaring themselves this has spawned.

Who was it, back on CF, who worked with a ghost hunting group in the Vancouver area?

Depends on how you define 'ghost'.

1. Spirit of a dead human that appears to, and attempts to interact with, the living.

Probably not.

2. An energetic impression that gets burned into certain areas and, under the right circumstances, replays itself in a way that can be experienced by those sensitive to such things.

Probably so.

3. An image of a being on another plane that becomes visible to the human eye or detectable by some electronic means (EMF, EVP, 'ghost images' on film or video) for brief periods of time.

Also, probably so.

Human imagination = yes

Ghosts? = No....not even a little bit.

EVP and EMF are hilarious. There is a lot we can do to manipulate those with how much energy we produce as a culture nowadays. There is so much static and garbage thanks to TV/Satelite/Radio/cell towers on a lot of bandwidth. We don't really have a full grasp how it effects our health/senses either.

While not a very good movie, the story of "Johnny Nuemonic" made me wonder, when it comes to what you describe here. IIRC, they called it "the shakes" or something similar?

Ok, add that to my list too.
However, I feel like just because it's imagination for a lot of people doesn't mean that's all it is in every case.

"The Black Shakes" or NAS. Read the book. It's far better than that shitty movie. I'm still hoping that they eventually make a movie based on the REAL story, in which the bit of fluff that was pretending to be Johnny's bodyguard is actually the hero of the story, with Johnny being largely just an incidental character to move the plot along. In the book she's a hot Razorgirl with mirrored sunglasses physically implanted over her eye sockets, and switchblade razor blades implanted under her fingernails. The Yakuza assassin is described as looking like a Japanese tourist.

I ask because of all those ghost hunter shows popping up. I did go on an "investigation" recently with a friend that is in a "ghost hunter group" LOL
It was funny because they went into the place with the idea that it was haunted, which was hilarious lol Every little pop or scratch had them on edge. I did not see shit or hear shit other than normal house noises. One time there was a loud "pop", yes it was loud, three of the investigators looked around startled then look at me and asked "what was that?" Clearly it was just the outside door that popped because of the old assed hinges lol

Like all of the pictures of "orbs" and such, that I see. My first question is always, "Did you use a flash?"

I still want to know what that big white bird/flying thing I saw that one night was. I don't believe in ghosts, but I have never seen a white bird with a 9 foot wingspan in Tennessee. Thing was massive.

Ghost = yes

Seen one and had someone tell me they seen it under the stairs I watched it go into. And I didn't say a word before hearing that.

Just because you having seen one doesn't mean they are not real.

I have never met a woman that wasn't crazy but I like to believe that there is one out there somewhere.

Haha, probably not what you think it is. I dont know why my phone didnt post the video right, it posted it with a mobile link. I fixed it. Ghosts and Stuff....

As far as ghosts. Yes I've seen the same one twice. It is my great grandfather. I saw him standing in the kitchen window where he aparently stood and drank beer every night. (Never met the man) And I saw him pass my bed early one morning. Was wearing a tan trench coat and brown bowler style hat. I thought my grandma was going to faint when I told the story....
