Why do dudes put their girlfriends on their bike and take a pic to use for their sale? I find it to be stupid. Especially if they're ugly or look like they need to be in a field.

Using an ugly chick is dumb. But a few years ago I remember seeing a pair of racing gloves for sale on eBay where the sellers main photo was of his GF holding her boobs with the gloves on. I dont know if he made any more money because of it but it definitely got a lot of people to look at his item and it seemed like a smart move.

why do it in ads, because people look at it. i agree some of them are stupid and it seems "this is the only pic I have of the bike/car/whatever so i'll use it.
the ones I like better are boat for sale ads with beer bellied bubba's in the ad fishing or just lounging in the boat. yeah that's gonna help you.

If you search for a bike and 50 come up, you want to stand out a bit more. One with a woman in it would get more views IMO. More views can lead to more potential buyers.

I remember people posting ebay ads on CF. So a regular ad gets posted on other sites because a better picture was taking. Those ads could have been seen by someone that don't use ebay or forgot to check ebay for that item they were looking for.

It grabs your attention. The point isn't to use sex to sell..but rather to get the consumer to acknowledge what you are selling by using sex.

Glance through a magazine and then see some fine ass women laying over a bike in a wet t-shirt and you'll immediately acknowledge it.

I just passed a highway billboard for sachs fifth ave that had a blonde cougar in a slinky red ballgown draped over a blacked out harley.

Last time I checked they don't sell bikes or blondes but they still got my attention
