my bike is so powerful it sheared them right off the carrier.

haha, j/k. seriously tho, how would i get em out? for some reason i have a feeling that some penetrating lube, some heat, and a regular stud puller won't do the job, but i could be wrong.

id rather not cut off the ends, then drill em out and re-tap the holes. that seems retarded. they arent stripped, but im not concerned with damaging the studs, as long as i dont damage the threaded holes they go into.

Can't you just bang 'em out like a car stud?

the holes dont go all the way thru, and they're threaded in according to the parts diagram i was looking at.

I had the same problem on my old bike. I used wd40 and carefully loosen them. when I couldn't go any farther, I sprayed them with more oil and let it sit for a while then loosen them further. There might be a better/faster way but thats what worked for me. good luck

oh, if you have any brainiac friends keep them the fuck away from your bike...trust me on this one

yeah I was gonna say... spray some PB Blaster... let it sit for a couple minutes... then spray some more... again.. sit... spray some more and then try...

PB Blaster > WD40 IMO

PB will eat through a styrophome(sp) cup quick. I did it before.

no the styrophome thing is to show how quickly it penetrates.... use PB Blaster... it's the shit

yea i was gonna say, theres no styrofoam on my wheel lol

so basically just work it out slow. ok. no one try the stud puller technique? maybe i should try both...gotta pull 10 studs out...see what works best.

Maybe you should notch the ends with a dremel and back them out with a screwdriver.

I'm thinking arbor press, but not many individuals have them. Regardless, I would let that shit soak in some type of penetrating lube overnight. Let us know what you wind up doing. One never knows when he might have to do the same thing.
