Even better than MW2. The zombies kick serious ass and you can play split screen online., the multiplayer feels fresh feels fresh and the story for campaign is exciting so far. I give it a 10.

It was great last night, I had a lil' Release party with some buddies, a couple came home with me and a couple went home...but with the split screen Xbox live we were all able to play. Very cool enhancement.

The attachment system is great. You earn in game cash to unlock whatever you want. The weapons themselves are level dependent.

the cash system is alright, id have liked it better if it was simply a way to unlock weapons and attachments early. as it is it feels like micromanagement of the old system which makes it more difficult to access individual challenge exp. though, the contracts kind of make up for it.

So far, the only problem I have had is framerates. And it doesnt drop super low, just from 60 to mid 30's.
Using dual 5870's though.

Most of the time, yes.....I don't like it....feels awkward to play shooters on my 360....I've tried COD...Metal Gear....couple of others and I just don't like it....so I play shooters on my PC and mostly sports games on the 360. :idk:

I can play FPS just fine on console. It doesnt change the fact that they are better on PC, period. Its not some obscure fact, its well known among developers that PC is the best choice for a FPS, period. Console games are more popular because consoles are cheaper, not better.
Number one, as I said, KB/Mouse is just better. On top of that, the 360 doesnt have 1/4 of the processing power that my PC does. Try a real gaming mouse and keyboard on a real gaming PC, controller doesnt compare.

There is no way that an analog controller can ever fully simulate / replace a true mouse look / mouse strafe....it's just not happening. And that doesn't even consider the super high end resolution of most quality gaming mice.

PCs are a pain in the ass. I turn my Xbox on, it boots up and plays games. Never had to put a new Video card in it, never had to upgrade its memory...I just play games. Plus the mouse/keyboard thing is really gay.

Why would I want to do any of that? Black Ops looks amazing on my 5 year old video technology, Kinect just came out which destroys the Wii in everyway possible, Red Dead Redemption looked and played amazingly....I have no need to upgrade anything. My "weak" processor has always performed flawlessly, not once has my Xbox locked up or had to be rebooted. All that for a piece of equipment that hooks right up to any TV for a fraction of the price of a gaming PC.
And best of all, when I play a FPS on the Xbox I can be reasonably confident the guy who just killed me didn't do it by tracking me through walls, using an aimbot, highlighting opposing players or any of that bullshit.

The Valkryie and the Napalm kill streaks are entertaining. So far it seems like I only played on the jungle level, and Nuketown.
Zombies was pretty decent as well. I dig the multiplayer.

They actually were going to allow people to play pc vs console on xboxlive. And like Apoc said, they trialed it, and it was so unfair and uneven they nerfed it.. I believe it was last year.

Unless you're really far away the smg's are the way to go. I switched from assault rifles this morning and I can't believe how accurate they are from 3/4 the range of an AR.

Two people were strangled to death by mouse cord, and one got a keyboard permanently implanted into his asshole.. I think it was in 2008 or something...

I'm using the mpk5 with reflex sight. I'm going to use the Famas and Ak74 when I unlock those. I've used the famas a few times and love it even more than the smgs...

That's when you pull the trigger just slightly after you aim into the scope on a sniper rifle. 9/10 it won't even get to the scope screen but it cuts the bullet radius down enough that you basically get unaimed 1 shot kills before the other player can even react. A lot of times they combine it with a sticker on the tv screen itself to show the camera center. Its cheap kiddy bullshit and Ruined the previous game

you ever noticed playing mw2 when you get sniped, the kill cam shows the sniped just looking with the regular crosshairs, and then zooms super fast at the last second. so fast it does not even show the zoomed scope image half the time. that is what i am guessing he is referring too. i have seen it too much in the last month.

A lot of times they combine it with a sticker on the tv screen itself to show the camera center. Its cheap kiddy bullshit and Ruined the previous game

I've gotten quite a few noscope kills with a rifle without cheating though...so you never know.

What is quickscoping?
Finished Campaign mode last night, found the story to be very entertaining. Love the Pentagon Zombie level as well.
I feel that the quickscoping is cheap and downright sorry but hey if it gets you kills then by all means QS away. but when I pwn you with my LMG before you see me as you run around QS'ing then you can suck it.
Hell, I'm still using the Enfield the most.
I also have not been able to get away from the Enfield, it owns. I never have like the shotguns. I just can't get in close enough to make much use of them.
What modes are you guys playing? I find myself doing a lot of team deathmatch.
I mostly play TDM or Domination. However, I may try some of the new modes available in Black ops. However, I have been still having the one problem with black ops that I have had with all the other versions. When some punk comes running through a hailstorm of gunfire only to knife you in the neck. Hmm, thats pretty cool, I laced your belly with lead yet you can still fly in close enough to pull out a knife and drop me with a lethal slice,,,,,don't think so.
The jury is still out whether or not I really like this version of CoD, though. I don't really like the graphics style from WaW and Black ops. I really liked the stylings of MW and MW2. IMO

Been doing a lot of different modes, but TDM is still my favourite mode. Demolition is a ton of fun too.

Well, beat the campaign and loved it. Kinda short, but really good. Gonna play again to get all the intel on the hardest mode.

I haven't like the Treyarch ones, by far I like the Infinity Ward versions better. The reason I like the IW versions better is the graphics flow the movement mechanics as well as the menu styles. The Treyarch versions graphics are good but I just don't know what exactly it is about how they flow for me I just can't put a finger on it why.
Oh well, I will play it since I payed for it. I am not gonna throw the money out the window with an immediate return of the game especially since there is nothing I want right now from Game Stop.

Those were always fairly easy to avoid. At least in my clan any free second we pull up the scoreboard. Anyone who even looked like he was getting that far in a killstreak got a hit put out on him and its hard to hold off 3-4 MLC berserkers coming for your ass

You wont learn much vs AI. I'd just play unranked matches against others until you want to play ranked.
I went straight to Ranked. Im ranked around 135k, lol. Maybe less, it changes often. But at peak hours, theres 800k-1M people on PC alone.

i was going through my stats earlier and started thinking about the mouse v gamepad debate earlier. set it to compare my stats to my buddy's who is a devout FragFX user. we're both run n gun players, my accuracy is higher on every weapon except three. one of which ive never used. slightly better kdr as well.
as of tonight overall KDR is up over 1.50 and accuracy is just a hair under 20% little more work with the g11 ought to do the trick. very pleased with these numbers

Box advertised 1080p games available for the Xbox 360 include the following 35 total titles. Purists will view native 1080p as the best possible resolution, not 720p titles upscaled to 1080p. The titles below show 1080p on the back of the game boxes but have not been confirmed by third party sources as being native 1080p.
Again, no console game this gen is 1080p natively. Any game can play in 1080p resolution, ut textures are still 720p, and that cant be upscaled.
Bigger texture files require RAM consoles dont have. Hell, FFXIII had to be scaled down to 540p for the 360, but it still displays in 1080p.
The exception being 2d games, which use much less textures and can be done in true HD.

Aw, damn. I guess you probably did the research and counted the lines. That means I'll have to sell my 360 and get a sweet gaming PC and join the nerd hordes. Now that I know that for certain, as there is evidence no 1080p games exist for 360 (via you), I could never play a 360 again. The difference is just too great.
Edit: Got a 250gb 360 slim for sale, I'll let it go for tree fiddy. Seeing as it's only good for 720p, it's not worth much more.

I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it, though....haven't made a decision on what type of class I'll focus on...still experimenting with the various weapons and play styles. I'm working on memorizing one map at a time too. Nuketown is pretty fun...I like the Cosmodome too.

Yes. The picture displays in 1080p, meaning 1080 vertical and horizontal scans per frame. But the textures (all that pretty stuff you see), are ingrained into the game at 720p, saving precious RAM, because its the major area where consoles are lacking.
Even GT5, coming November 24th, the best looking console game ever, still runs 720p textures. It looks fantastic, all modern consoles do, but that doesnt change the fact that modern consoles are severely limited, and its time to roll out a new generation to compete with new CPU/GPU's. The 360 has 512mb ram total. My PC has 2gb of vram, and 8gb/RAM, the supply is almost endless, and thats why PC games look better. High quality, uncompressed textures.

I agree. I never said modern consoles were bad in any way, i love my PS3. But I also know the difference between texture mapping and anti-aliasing with PC and console.

My comp has a power cable and HDMI cable, same as a PS3/360... Again... Bluetooth, it works on PC's too. Imagine that.

It cant tell the Difference. As I already told you. Your really better off From a Money standpoint buying a 120hz 720p LCD for your money...The difference in resolution between that and 1080 is Hard to distinguish with the human eye.
The only time I've ever seen a difference is with certain brands of TV's and the colors then again when you go to Best buy and Walmart they dont have the TV's setup for Optimum Picture output.
The Bigger you go screen size the more noticeable it is but they have said that a 50 inch tv at 8 feet away the human eye cannot distinguish the difference.
It's all a waste of money.

You should try with a keyboard/mouse. The experience is far superior. lol Seriously though, the gun is a beast with big magazines awesome accuracy/knock down power. The lack of options is pretty much it's only downfall. I haven't tried the zoom option yet, but it might make a good medium range sniper that could double as an assault rifle. Then again I like the Galil a lot and no one else seems to.

Ps3s only make noise when suffocating/overheating. Those demo boxes have horrendous airflow. Any other time its MUCH quieter than a 360. Old one at least, I haven't played on a slim.

I had a launch PS3 (sold it to fix a broken snowmobile), and then a slim. The Slim is extremely quiet compared to the originals. The launch models had really bad fan noise.

As far as I know, I haven't tried installing games onto an external because I still have plenty of internal space, but it gives you the option to save or transfer anything to the "external device" plugged in.

The industry is having enough problems in some states (mainly California though) over having such graphic violence, without letting millions of teens and young adults mindlessly do something that shocked, disturbed, and injured a whole nation when it happened.

I remember watching a discovery special where they explored all the suggested alternate firing positions and found no good sightline. They then did tests with a professional shooter firing a carcano rifle from ozwalt's simulated position shooting at a watermelon in the back of a lincoln vert. Guy nailed it like 95% of the time.

Single player was lame, the cut scenes annoyingly long, the story meh and I thought the game was trying to hard to make an "epic" story out of a standard fair on the rails FPS.
Multiplayer is fun but I only play hardcore crouch only TDM with the occasional nuketown bunny hopper fest.

I wish they would remove second chance just like they did with the extra damage perk.
The extra damage perk made it almost impossible to pick a different perk in its category if you wanted to win. Removing it made playing with different perk combination's a lot more fun.

Still playing. Prestige 1/44. Havent been playing a ton because of other games that have come out lately, as well as some Steam sales I picked up over x-mas (seriously, i've got a backlog of about 20 games between PC and PS3, mostly PC), but I did buy Black Ops, Alpha Protocol, and a second copy of GT5 (my uncle is buying it off me since I already have it) all for 48$ (plus 6.30$ shipping) off of ebay for PS3 this past tuesday. With the 30$ im getting for GT5, Alpha Protocol and Black Ops only costed me about 25$ shipped. Not a bad deal.

That's not the issue. It makes them invulnerable for a second. Combine that with host lag and it can be very annoying

What annoys me, is you shoot somebody in the face 3 times with an ak47 and then they shoot you twice with a pistol and you're dead.
