View Full Version : Bike cover that actually covers the rear wheel?

WTF is up with "sportbike covers" that cover the front wheel nicely, but don't go down all the way over the rear wheel & chain? I've owned at least 3 different covers and they all sucked in that respect. What is so hard about making a cover that can be pulled all the way to the ground, like the way it can in the front?

I've noticed one setup on my walk to work where the whole bike is covered but I've never noticed the label\brand of the cover.
If the bike is parked there next time I'm in the office I'll take a closer look.

Get a bigger cover. When I used to cover my ZX9r, it would fit over both wheels to the ground all while being elastic.

Exactly this. You simply don't have a big enough cover.

I know, that was why I asked which brand. Instead of rolling the dice.

My generic cover from Parts Unlimited covered the whole bike.

Already owned a Medium, which is what they ascribed for a sportbike. Poor coverage. I suppose I am supposed to get a Large this time, and have a ton of extra material flapping around on top. Nice.

So you want it to touch the ground? I haven't seen any cover that fits a particular bike "perfect." Perfect seams, perfect amount of material, perfect length/width. You're gonna have to get one tailored made if you're that picky.

i use Dowco covers and buy the one for tour bikes or large cruiser to cover a sportbike. only drawback is if it gets windy the cover buffets a little so snug it down good. plus they're guarranteed for life, yes I've used the warranty without issue.
