this weekend we had a gunshow in a nearby town and the little lady had decided to go after a 9mm. wound up getting her a Taurus Millenium 9mm as well as a Springfield XD40 for myself and a Mosin Nagant just because they look interesting to me so thought I'd throw one in the gun safe. not sure if I'll ever shoot it a lot but it will get fired a couple times at least. told my son it was his new deer rifle. LOL

Is it a carbine version M44? I love mine it throws fireballs out and is the most violent weapon I have to fire. 7.62x54R coming out of a short barrel is serious business.

Nice.
I just got an FNx 9mm. And, shot a Nagant on Halloween with some friends. Just remember to wrap the strap around your wrist - it helps to pull it tight into your shoulder.

the Nagant is the longer version not the carbine.
picked up the 40 last night and cleaned her all up to get ready for shooting. yippee.
i still have to finish cleaning up the Nagant, it is soooo full of cosmolene. like scraping grease out of a grease pit. LOL

Nice.
I just picked up a Springfield XD 40 subcompact for CCW.
My dad has a couple of Mosin's, and you will be surprised how accurate they are for shooting through the iron sights. Once you get the hang of how they shoot, you'll like em.

I was at the range last week and boy o boy I got all hot n bothered about what I think my next one will be.
Ruger 101, option KSP-321XL, with hammerless backside. http://www.ruger.com/products/sp101/models.html
Probably with the LG option as well.

I've never owned a revolver but there is just something classic sexy about them.
Might go with another brand/model that I can't remember if they still have a used one. It was a alloy with titanium barrel. Was only 12oz. But of corse that comes with not only a $$ price but more kickback from the recoil.

I can't see those links at the office since they're weapons related  but I've always liked the Ruger SP101's look. I have never shot one though.

when I went and got the Taurus I actually went to get a ruger GP100. unfortunately the guy was moving kind of slow that day and the Taurus was parked right next to the Ruger. I decided to save just over $100 and try the Taurus. so far it's been a great gun. I wanted it just for the classic revolver thing. You'd never carry it, although if an intruder were to come in it would make him dirty his shorts quickly I'm sure. LOL spent the extra loot on the Hogue wood grips. guys at the range go all apeshit over trying to look at it and feel the grips.
you do get a little more "feel" for the recoil with the wood grips over the rubbery pachmyer grips. not bad though.
can't wait to get the new one out to the range. cleaned it all up last night. definitely a little trickier to take down then the others I own.
