Well, I sold the Buell Blast today. She was good to me, for the most part. Got her with 1080 miles on it the last day of last June last year. By August, I had 2200 miles on her. Took her down to school with me and the speed sensor stopped working. So I don't have any clue how many miles I put on her. I am guessing around 2500 from me. Got the speed sensor and tires all replaced this spring. The day before I was going to sell her, about a month ago, I got a tank of bad gas causing that deal to fall through. It's ok though, he was a faggot anyway. So today a kid my age and his dad came over to look at it. Both got their permits a couple of weeks ago and are going to share the bike. I paid 1600 for it, got tires for about 250 and a speed sensor for 60. So, other than gas I had just over 1900 dollars in it. Sold it today for 1700 dollars with 2309 shown miles and 95% tread tires on it. Today was a good day.

sounds like you did alright on that deal. You gonna buy another or just roll the R1?

The R1 is more than I need. Why the hell would I need something else too? Actually, I would like to get a 600 pure track bike, then ride the R1 on the street, but that will have to wait until after college when I am raking in the cash.

I get what your sayin, funds are tight when you are in college. If I could afford to I would have a garage full of bikes.

Well right now I am Security Forces... A MP if you will. I have been to Iraq 3 times now, securing property, people and convoys. On my last deployment that ended a month ago, I got hurt... fucked up my knee, I find out tommorrow if I have to have surgery.. So If I am not to fucked up when I get out, I have a lead with the TSA a management position.

If I am too fucked up, I will use my G.I bill to go to college. In Illinois if you are a vet you get free tution to any state college. So I get free school then about another 1000ish a month from my G.I bill, plus V.A disablity, what ever that is. So either way I have a plan. I like my first option the best though

Either way sounds like a great deal. Are you done with the AF soon whether or not your knee is too fucked up?

Currently I can't run more than 200 ft without my knee giving out. I mean going out like I can't move it, cant walk nothing for like an hour. So in my current state I can't begin to do P.T and I will never pass a physical.

I just got home from the Dr and I have to have surgery on the 27th. Will be out for 4 to 6 weeks maybe longer. They aren't certain yet what the outcome will be. I could recover close to 100%, if that happens I will stay in and probably move to Colorado or Mississippi.

If I don't recover enough I am probably looking at a medical retirement. I will go to college and stay here in STL, if that happens... Keep workin on my buddy in TSA for the hook up.

I want to stay in but I don't want some bullshit desk job.

Hopefully you will recover. If you can't though, go to MSU in springfield for college. We'll get some crazy riding in down in Ozark country.

On another note, I like how my selling bike thread is now composed entirely of a conversation between us.

I see. If you want to, you better call up and make reservations as soon as possible. My friend and I will be in stand E, although most of the people here will be in B, right next to it.

How long ago did you guys get your tickets?

t-homo
06-16-2008, 07:22 PM
I got mine about a month and a half ago I think. 125 for tickets and parking a piece. I think we are staying at a motel 6 like 9 miles away for 66 bucks a night.

rider76

t-homo

Most people are staying at a Knight's Inn. They were booked I am pretty sure.

rider76

I will have to start checkin the hotels around Indy. See if they still have tickets to the race...
